Re: Engine swap question.

I think the engine was a a jdm swap. I will get the numbers off of it tomorrow so maybe that will help. From what I have read so far, I don't think we want to try the Civic swap. We are just trying...

Re: Clunking/popping front end :(

Powerslave,

I went through this with my son. We had changed practically everything in the front suspension. Sway bar end links are the usual cause of popping and clunking. You can actually remove...

Re: JDM H22a problems

James,

A "NOID" light is short for solenoid light. They are used to check that your fuel injectors are getting a pulse to deliver fuel to the cylinders. They are cheap to buy but most auto part...

Re: JDM H22a problems

James, If you have a timing light(which not many people still have) you can check your timing while cranking. If the light doesn't flash then you are right about not getting spark. It will take a...

Re: JDM H22a problems

CT,

LOL I guess you are joking me. That was our problem and worth checking. I remember once forgetting to plug the CPS sensor plug back in after doing a timing belt change and the car started fine...

Re: JDM H22a problems

Sounds like you did everything you need to get it running. First double check your timing that you got that right. Check all connectors are securely plugged in. I hope others will chime in to help...

Re: JDM H22a problems

Sounds like you tried to upgrade the engine to be OBDII. Did you install the two sensors in the new oil pump housing? You also need to use the gear behind the crank pulley from the obdII engine to...

Re: using s2000 oil filter

Thanks for everybody's responses. The reason I asked was because we were doing an oil change and had read that a S2000 filter had been recommended by several posts. I thought I would give it a try....

using s2000 oil filter

Getting ready to do an oil change. Read some posts that an oil filter from an s2000 would give a little better oil pressure and flow. The auto parts stores I have been to list the same filter for...

Re: Inside car oil gauge mounting location.

Lindso,

We used a mechanical gauge with the tube line. I went to NAPA and got a T fitting as we wanted the light to still work. We put it where the original oil pressure sender is. The T we got...

Re: Inside car oil gauge mounting location.

Thanks Lindso,

I have seen the pillar mounts and so far that may be the way to go. I have also seen that mount for above the vents. It does look good but it is pricy. I have looked over and over...

Inside car oil gauge mounting location.

Anybody have any pictures of how they mounted their oil pressure gauge INSIDE the car? I am not talking the actual hook up of the gauge. We put one on my son's car and mounted it under the dash by...

Re: Strange Clutch Problem in 2001 Prelude SE

I was hoping that would not be the case. It is a lot of labor but you should be able to change the clutch your self. Change the rear main seal and the axle shaft seals while you are at it. Good luck....

You only have three possible problems. The master cylinder, the slave cylinder, and something in the actual clutch and pressure plate area. The master cylinder and the slave cylinder are...

Re: Slave cylinder and master slave cylinder problem need help!!

I think if your motor will crank with the clutch pushed in then your clutch interlock switch is okay. Look over the areas where you where working and look for any wires you may have knocked loose.

Re: jdm h22a swap NEED HELP!!

Also double check that you got the timing right. You can check out a set of NOID lights at most auto parts stores and see if your injectors are getting a pulse signal

Re: jdm h22a swap NEED HELP!!

Since you want to go obd1 no need to swap oil pumps. You will need jdma dizzy and will have to modify your original wiring harness. Double check wiring.
