Rear upper ball joint replacement

I've been looking around for a rear upper ball joint by itself. I find it hard to believe that we're forced to buy the entire control arm if we want to replace just the ball joint. I found the front upper and lower ball joints by MOOG and found out the rear lower ball joints are the same as the front lowers.
Can't find anything online except people saying to just buy the arm cause it takes out all the extra work and new bushings, the extra work isn't a big deal I have a press and I plan on replacing all the bushings with ES so the new ones would be a waste. I know the SPC/Ingalls adjustable ball joints will work but I have no need for the adjustments and at the price of one I can get both arms. So if anyone knows of some ball joints that will work and have actually installed them to confirm they work please let me know.

Re: Rear upper ball joint replacement

I want to say 4th gen upper balljoints fit. I use spc adjustable set to stock spec for the time being.

Would have to look into my lists later on

Re: Rear upper ball joint replacement

Decided to just get the upper arms, don't want to deal with getting a ball joint that might not work to just save some money. SPC ball joints are worthless for me.

Re: Rear upper ball joint replacement

For future reference the ball joints on the upper arms are very easy to replace. They aren't held in by much material so they are rather easy to hammer or press out and in. The adjustable ones are even easier to install back in.

Re: Rear upper ball joint replacement

Bringing this thread back. Haven't bought anything yet since I'm not back in the states yet. Anyone know if the front uppers fit the rear uppers? I know there has to be someone out there that tried and not everyone just buys the arm which is a waste of money if the ball joint is the same.

Re: Rear upper ball joint replacement

I believe my front upper balljoints were larger than the rears. But I never took measurements to back this up, just going by memory.

However when I installed MOOG adjustable upper balljoints in a friends 'lude - they were different part numbers and I mistakenly mocked up a front in the rear, which did not fit properly.
