5th Gen Lude Door lock jammed noise

When I start my car, this is how it sounds like:
https://soundcloud.com/emathew97/doorlock

I am thinking its my door motor/accuator's gears grinding.

Any ideas on what the issue maybe & how to solve?
Have y'all had this experience?

I am going to take a look at it, gonna remove the door panel, will upload pics.

^^ the vehicles that used same as yours

It's a right expensive part (over $100) so you might consider junkyard shopping.

Re: 5th Gen Lude Door lock jammed noise

Like you stated, take the panel off and make sure everything is still hooked up.

Do your doors lock? By themselves? As in you not pushing on the lock button...

Majority of the time the doors lock & unlock, but the passenger door gets stuck in either lock or unlock once in a while. It just makes a loud annoying/grinding noise that scares new passengers.

Re: 5th Gen Lude Door lock jammed noise

You can unplug it and lock your doors manually.

Alright so long time no update...So up until a week ago the passenger door lock actuator would still function normally with the exception of the screeching noise. But now it has finally lost its function without any assistance.

I have a replacement, I removed the old actuator it was a PITA, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was this whole time. It got kinda cold in garage and so I will complete this repair tomorrow and give another update.
