Name these wheels

Hey guys, so after a long year I'm working to get my Prelude up and running again. I have never had the wheels off the car yet and I was not sure what wheels they even were or the specs. The previous owner wrote on a paper that they were American Racing Wheels, but couldn't anything pertaining to them. So taking them off I took a look at the stampings on the wheel and only say they are Hart wheels.

I would like to see if anyone could help me figure out what wheels they are, and if the size is correct. I'm thinking they are Racing Hart C2's but they are not 3 piece wheels. It says 17x7 but measure over 8" wide so I'm not sure how they are measured. Any help would be great (photobucket keeps flipping the wheel size pic over when I post it so I don't know why sorry)

I've been searching google pics but could not find a solid lead. There are a lot of look-alikes and these Hart wheels were probably made a long time ago if I had to guess so it's hard to source info.

Thanks all in advance

Re: Name these wheels

They look more like the Racing Hart C4's, not C2's, just based on the Y bit being further from the hub. From what I can find the C4's were one piece but occasionally came with a row of decorative bolts around the outside. It looks like all of the "C" series wheels these guys made were cast, not forged like some of their race wheels, so they're not particularly light but not bad for a cast wheel. As with all Japanese wheels, these are worth a lot more with a complete set of original centre caps which you don't have pictured.

Also, the x7 dimension is the distance between the tire beads, not the total outside to outside width. I can't see anything that looks like an offset from the pics but judging by how they look I'd guess somewhere around the +35 to +40 mark.

Re: Name these wheels

Hey thanks for the reply tassie. The center cap pictured is the same for all the wheels, and after looking at the C4's on google images, It seems to be the correct center cap for the wheels?

I guess that is what threw me for a loop; that I saw a lot of them have the bolts around the outside, which would make me ask, wouldn't in that case the wheel be a different model, or perhaps I have an early model C4 before RH added the bolts to the outsides?

Not really looking to sell or anything as far as knowing worth, but it is at least nice to know they are legit Japanese wheels.
