Ground Control Help!!!

I have searched for a few days now, have search just about every word combination and nothing.
Situation: I'm Trying to find a way to cut Koni's to fit my GC that originally came with OEM struts. I have heard it can be done safely, but i can't find any DIY's or Pics on how to do it or what it looks like.
Also I found out that fronts have the OEM rubber cap where as the Rears have the actual GC cap. I know the guy was running like that since i bought everything to mount them up to my car in fact taking apart the struts with caps was a pain, required alot of WD40 and power tools. I know how to do it but these were something else. Had A Lot of rust on the bolt. Luckily the GC were rust free just a little beat up on the sleeves threads.
Pics(Only showing 1 Rear and 1 Front)

One last thing i notice my Fronts were very compared to the Rears is that Normal? I measured them and they are Exactly 4 inches Long is that normal? or are they Cut?

Re: Ground Control Help!!!

thought we already discussed this in another thread????

but anyway, once again, if you are planning on using Koni Yellow struts with ground control coils, you WILL NEED to get the GC sleeves that are compatible with use of Koni struts. THERE IS NO CUTTING REQUIRED!!!!!!!!

This i know, but i have heard that you can cut Koni's to fit the other versions. I already have the GC its not like im shopping for some GC that fit Koni's. I know i have the Other set. I created this thread to see if anyone can help me in cutting the Koni's to fit the other version of GC that aren't originally meant to fit Koni's

Re: Ground Control Help!!!

do you have the konis yet? I have not heard of anyone cutting suspension components to make them work??? From what I know, from experience, you MAY be able to put the spring housings on the koni and then you MAY be able to use the sleeves that are meant to fit on every other type of strut.

I would also recomend buying the complete set from another mamber on here who is selling koni and gc's for $500 obo and sell your set up you have.
