Icon2 XXR 006 17x9 +20 offset with 205/40/17 tires on 4th gen Prelude?

I found someone is willing to trade the xxr 006 17x9 +20 offset with 205/40/17 tires for my blades and $200 on top from my end, but I am worry because its 9 inch back space and I would like to know if you have any pics showing the 4th gen lude on the 17x9 +20 offset with 205/40/17 tires or experience with this same setup? You think it will rub? my lude is already fender rolled/ pulled.

I used to have a set of 16x8 +20 offset which doesn't rub at all, but 17x9 +20 offset? Help!

Google isn't helping!

Civic have the different body size, but give me a link. Is that ugly 4 doors civic with xxr 006 right? if so, they are 17x8 tho.

Oh that civic.... almost, but that civic have big body that will cover whole 9.5 back space but the point is our lude have small body that will not cover the biggest backspace, you know?

That's a **** Ton of stretch! I love those wheels though, if you get them we can trade.

Ps, you're gonna need rolled and possibly flared fenders and some pretty damn good coilovers.

My lude is already rolled and pulled to sit flush with 16x8 +20 offset. If I am required to do more fender roll/pull then I'll have to pass the deal.

Why don't you ask if you can test fit them first? Usually people around me aren't opposed to that.

you'll definitely be stretching the tires, and it's gonna be a close fit. I'm running 17x9.75 with a 215/40 tire.

Ok, but I know the backspace is different, but you think the offset is the same as 16x8 +20 offset? I mean will it be the same sit right like my old wheels or I should be concern about 9 inch backspace? Thanks.

if your QPs are rolled, then they should fit perfectly fine. I say don't be scurd and just try it out. If the 205's don't fit, then just simply get 215's. They'll usually test fit them at the tire shop

Ok, I am down to do the deal, but I think the owner is thinking about it because he is unsure which wheels should he keep or get mine when he sell the prelude. Hes the old luder on another site.
