What lowering kit

Just ordered my rims and now lowering is next, I know I should have got a 215/40/17 tire but the guy I talked to talked me into a 215/45, he said he didn't even think it was a quarter of an inch taller, anyways wondering which way to go about lowering, coilovers or would springs be sufficient? I don't necessarily care to be as low as possible but just to erase a decent amount of the wheel gap

Re: What lowering kit

Idc about adjustability honestly, don't have a set amount of drop in mind yet (waiting for new wheels and tires to be installed before I can determine that). I want as much as possible without rubbing or any problems, I'd be find with a simple set of springs as long as they gave it the proper drop but i know that's kind of a guessing game. If I got coilovers I know I could adjust it to where I like, would the coilovers sleeves be my best bet or a full coilover set be the way to go? I'm not to picky as far as ride quality as long as it is rough as hell

thats the beauty of it - you can adjust it as low as you want to and make sure it wont rub with too much drop

Re: What lowering kit

If I get a full coilover kit then it will work on both base and sh models right?

yup, you just cannot mix up base and sh shocks & springs, but when you change both of them its ok

Re: What lowering kit

wow mine looked a lot lower than yours. i had a 2 finger gap in the front, and tucking 1/2" in the rear, but that mighta been due to my system.
