Whats the best performance Coil Overs that won't lower my car too much!

So i'm looking for a good brand of coilovers. That don't drop my 4th gen. 1-2 inches is ok but nothing to crazy since i drive in areas where lowered cars will just not go through.

I guess ill go with some of Tein's dampers system then. Don't know too much about how a coil over works just struts and double wishbone.

I don't mean to be a dick but how do you have nearly 200 posts and not know the answer to this? There have to be tons of posts about this to look at.

Re: Whats the best performance Coil Overs that won't lower my car too much!

eh, he's still a newb. he probably thinks there is an exact suspension for every possible application. and they don't realize that they have to come to a conclusion on their own. much like the walking advert for BC racing up there... thinks those coilvers are god's gift to suspension enthusiasts and doesn't understand what an opinion is. honestly, he's borderline a spammer.... hey, to each their own i say. suspension choice has always been and will always be an opinion. at least he was able to come to his own conclusion. is the right one? only he will know. but i'm sure the walking advert would disagree.

really, hardly any difference. depending on what brand you buy, will dictate what you have to swap over. but most often, you'll have to keep your stock top hats. however, coilovers will always come with the whole assy that you get to slap right in, so no parts swapping/building.

No Offense taken, i have that many posts because i know about engine parts and body parts. have worked mostly on american cars. Never used a coilovers since it was never really an issue to use old fashion macpherson struts. And want to have coilovers on my bb4 to see what all the fuss is about. Like i said im still a neebie to the whole coil over setup. Still reading on websites on how it works and all. The reason i started this thread was because past threads were about dropping the ride. I'm not really looking to drop it to much about an inch or two, then going from their. though i would agree i probably should have looked more into past posts.

Re: Whats the best performance Coil Overs that won't lower my car too much!

As for Beaker
Im simply asking on brands. I said i would get teins and not the bc's because i haven't heard to much about BC's as a company most of my friends have had Teins on their 240sx's and civics said their where great for the price with good ride quality. I also don't have that kind of money to buy 900+ coilover system. Maybe in the future ill get them but for now ill go for the less expensive Tein coilovers.

Re: Whats the best performance Coil Overs that won't lower my car too much!

This thread made me

I thought to myself after reading the posts "What brand of cigerettes should I buy that wont kill me that fast?"

LMFAO

My bad bro....jus had to.

But look into TEIN, D2, and BC!!! BCs are as good and reliable as the TEIN and D2. But of course they each ride differently and to each it's own on that.

I have TEIN basics coilovers!! I love them!

I recently got Function and Form Type 1s, and I have absolutely no complaints. They're only about $600, and for a little more, you can get the Type 2s which have adjustable dampening. Haven't seen any bad reviews of either, so it might be worth considering, especially if you have a smaller budget.

Yes I also vouch for the Function Form type ones and twos.
