Ok.... before you say anything, I DID research all internet include preludezone, preludeonline, and other sites. All different talk. What I need help is I have a BNIB tein s tech springs that I plan to install. What I know for sure that I must aligment after install spring, but Some says must have adjustment camber kit. Some says dont need camber kit due tein springs are only 1-1.5 inch drop. Some say must camber kit and toes control arm. I am confuse. As you know I have tein s tech springs that is only 1-1.5 inch drop so what do I need to get before install springs? To be honest, the adjustment camber kit is pretty expensive and even megan racing toes control arm. I don't drive hard. It is a DD so I just want to low it. thats it. LMK. Thanks!

Re: Need help/ advice/ experince about springs/camber kit/toes control arm.

basically what you "should've" learned from your search is that every car is unique and will be different with what parts will be required.
toe arms most likely aren't needed, but you won't know if you'll need a camber kit until after you've gotten an alignment and see how far off your camber is.

True, but I am not going to do hella flush or anything like that. I just want to do reasonable drop. Not like skunk2 springs over 2 inch drop. Thats why I went for tein springs, so you know the routie that I am going, so do I MUST have camber kit? Will be ok if I ride tein springs with factory camber kit?

i was dropped 2.25" and didn't need a camber kit, cuz my alignment was good.

but again, just because mine was like that, doesn't mean yours, or every other car is gonna be exactly the same. you won't know until you get an alignment.

since prelude's never came with adjustable camber kits, yes, you can say my camber "kit" was stock.

shocks?? fukk no they weren't stock, there's no way in helll stock shocks would hold up to a 2.25" drop.

i got it, but will my shocks hold the 1.5 drop? They are still good and was replaced by previous owner before I got it.

and do you have any picture that show 4th gen drop in tein springs? I kept wonder how low will my lude look like.

Re: Need help/ advice/ experince about springs/camber kit/toes control arm.

i'll try to make it as simple as possible for you to understand.

1) NO you do NOT need a camber kit for that mild drop. Spend the money and go to a alignment shop who is willing to adjust the TOE. The OEM suspension parts as they are does allow for enough adjustment of the toe so your tires won't have uneven ware.

2) read #1 again

3) no you don't need adjustable tow arms

4) Yes get alignment done and have them correct your tow setting

5) if you simply install the SS springs on and don't do anything else, your tires will still last decently but your cutting the life of the tire by about 30% or so. IMHO.

Re: Need help/ advice/ experince about springs/camber kit/toes control arm.

Adding upon the above statements:

Get some koni shocks, or you'll never fully enjoy the drop. Later on though after you gone through your current setup. All the other crap about adjusting/dialing in suspensions are people with

1.too much suspension for one car
2.sold a package they don't need
3.been there done that.

After your done with the install, push down on all four corners of the car to see how the shocks respond. The longer the shock takes to return to rest height, the sooner you need to replace them. After the drop, replace them after the original 2yr/24000 mile interval from the day they were installed. Just to be on the safe side

Hope this helps.

Yes, I knew I need good shocks, but just dont have fund for it. I will just install tein springs and then get it aligment and toes done. When I have the $ eventually, I will be looking into kyb agx or maybe tein basic coilover if I find any. Thank you for your time!!!!!
