weird suspension problems

Hey guys. I picked up this 94 Prelude Si with a few problems. Next problem to be fixed is the suspension. It came with stock shocks, ground control coilovers not lowered THAT far down, pretty comfortable ride actually, 16" rims along with some pretty trashy tie rod ends, ball joints, and sway bar bushings. also the inner tie rod boot...

ride height

so I got:
New Moog Lower ball joints
New Moog Tie Rod ends
New OEM Honda Inner tie rod boots and clamps.

Then I did the alignment that day at my school.

I did all the adjustments I could and these were the rear specs...

The screw you spin to adjust toe on the passenger side is all the way out. and of course there are no adjusters for rear camber.

Also, I've been hearing clanking in the back end so I took a look at what could be hitting and I found this...

The sway bar bracket is hitting the adjuster bar. as you see on the passenger side, the bracket is nowhere near hitting anything..

so... my questions are....
What can I do to get my alignments straight or what bushings could be causing poor rear alignment. what REALLY bugs me is the positive camber on the passenger side... cuz I can take that wheel and move it side to side a little. No movement from the ball joints though.

and.. I'm pretty sure this car's been in a wreck in the front which COULD have thrown things off in the back. I'm going to be looking for LOTS of bushings to replace my trashed ones. Energy suspension here I come!!

Re: weird suspension problems

as for the adjuster being alll the way out.
then somebody put a P/s rack in and didnt center it or measure.
sketchy job.
u need to get that fixed.
undo the rack bolts just loose. then slide it sideways whatever amount off it is from the other side. then tighten it back down.
then align it again.

Re: weird suspension problems

I think you misread, Those were the specs for the rear. The front is perfect after the alignment. The rear adjuster is all the way out...

Re: weird suspension problems

It's ok.

Like I said, the car's got obvious evidence of being in a wreck. could have thrown something off. I'll have to look more into everything. didn't know if there were any better ways to check anything.

another shot in the dark, bad sway bar bushings couldn't cause mis-alignment can it?

Re: weird suspension problems

I also noticed today that the vertical beam of the rear sway bar on the driver's side is completely 90 degree vertical while the passenger side is about 30 degrees angled forward.... prolly NOT good.

Re: weird suspension problems

didn't think so.. But when the bushing come in I'm going to pull the whole sway bar off including that bracket, hammer it into a 90 degree angle again, and put it all back together and see where we go from there... just need that brown package on my porch... >_<
