Alignment before camber kit install?

My friend is helping me install a camber kit. He said I need an alignment before he can install it? For the degrees? Will a front only alignment suffice or what do I do? Also what do I ask? For the degrees and stats? Or something?

Re: Alignment before camber kit install?

For fk sake, how many times do we need to say this? YES, get a full four wheel alignment before fitting a camber kit! After the alignment you may even find that you don't need the kit. Either that or you'll find that you do, but at least the geometary will be correct.

Re: Alignment before camber kit install?

I've been told that the Prelude doesn't really need a camber kit.

Re: Alignment before camber kit install?

i droped my lude 2" and had to get a camber kit because i was out like 3 degrees. most people say if you go 1" to 1.5" you most likley won't need a camber kit.

While technically a double wishbone suspension system shouldn't need separate camber adjustment, it's common practice to fit one after major suspension work is carried out, like for instance slammage. Also note that the system is designed for the wheels to be in a certain place, when we lower the car we move that base location up, therefore altering all the geometary. Some have needed to fit a camber correction kit, others have not.
