Got my bump stops from Energy Suspension, now which way is up?

Here is a pic of the pear-shaped rear bump stops with the fat side down.

Do I install them fat side up or down?

I also have the fronts, they are the same sort of shape so same question for the front bump stops. Install them fat side up or down?

I'm almost 100% that you put them in fat side down.

i'm almost 100% its fat side up
cuz its just like a spring, how the fatter part is gonna be stiffer, and the shock contacts the skinny part first which isn't too stiff, than as the shock continues to travel farther up, the bumpstop becomes stiffer and stiffer.

but then again looking at it a different way, where the BS is being squished from both sides (which it is) and knowing every force has an equal and opposite reaction means the stiffness of the BS will be linear and not exponential. so i don't think it really matters.

but in the manual it shows the bumpstops fat side up.

Well for me the old ones rotted and crumbled and fell out as bump stop dust way before I ever got to them. When I removed the dust cover from the old struts, there was nothin' on the inside. New suspension is great. Eibach ProKit over Tokico Blues. Maybe not the greatest, but in comparison to burned out stock it is so sweet.

to all for the quick advice on the bump stop up/down.
