Re: 5th Gen suspension setups

what is your goal here? if its to find a suspension setup that is most commonly liked or a suspension setup that you think you'll like just by someones feedback, its a waste of a thread. everyone has different preferences. and here is a great example. he likes tein s techs. i've rode in a car (granted not a lude) with tein s techs. and i didn't like them. what one person likes may not be what you like.

i have jic magic coilovers. its a pretty harsh ride but i prefer a little harsher. handles really well. i also have a progress rear sway bar. which helps a lot too for the handling. if i'm not careful i'll actually oversteer with it. definitely not an entry level suspension setup. would not recommend for beginners.

i've also had tokico blues. it was an ok setup. definitely an entry level setup... i'd call it closer to a replacement that lowers your car a bit. it barely lowered my car about an inch.. maybe a little more. handling only slightly improved. barely noticed a difference. but the sway bar made a huge differerence. somethign to look at if you're looking for just something to replace your stock setup but you don't really care for it to handle better or lower all that much.

Re: 5th Gen suspension setups

I'm looking for street/auto cross setup. I understand what you mean but I still think getting someones feedback on a product can help you from perhaps purchasing cheap quality products. But I get what you mean, only I can decide on what I want and if I like it. People don't let this stop you from posting your setups though lol

Re: 5th Gen suspension setups

nothing wrong with asking for what you're asking for but it helps when you're a little more descriptive on what your looking for. you asking a vague question is gonna get you a vague answers. perhaps you should put that in your original post that you're looking for an auto-x setup so we know what you're looking for. and can tell you weather or not its a good auto-x setup. like had i known you were looking for an auto-x setup, i woulda said, tokicos aren't great for auto-x. but the jics are good for auto-x. i can't say great because i haven't really tried them in an auto-x yet. and perhaps you should also do some research on your own also on what's good for autocross. because you're rarely gonna find someone who doesn't like their suspension setup. and for that one person that doesn't, there is someone who does like it. but as for your research, for example, there are twin tube and mono tube shocks. 1 is great for autocross the other, not so great. 1 generates a lot more heat then the other and fails under excessive loads, like auto-x. there is a lot more to an auto-x setup then just your shocks and springs setup. what about tires. you want some tires that will hold up to the abuse. you should really look into it. especially if you are to become an avid auto-xer.

Koni Yellows (The best struts) with Ground controls (the best coilovers)

No need for pics because they are adjustable.

Koni Yellows are adjustable too...Say if you want slam your car...set your konis to the firmest setting and you wont bottom out as much from bouncing around. No body roll FTW.

Re: 5th Gen suspension setups

i have mugen showa on mine with a type s strut bar, i got the coilovers used for dirt cheap.

tho about 3 weeks ago the springs on the rear went out and something tells me the front is gonna follow soon. sadly ive put the stock setup back in the rear so my car looks retarded.

im hoping i can buy new mugen springs the ride quality was great, the difference in handling was very noticeable and much improved I also liked how the lowering on the front and rear was even.

but in all honestly the 1,712 dollars that kings motorsport is asking is a total rip off.

if I didnt get them used i wouldnt of gotten them.

my mechanic has tein h tech springs with kyb adjustable shocks. ive been for a few rides in it.

has a good ride quality. seems to be able to take turns quite well too.
