Calling all lowered 5ths!

I recently lowered my 5thgen on tein's and it's meant to be 30mm on the front and 55 at the back but the end result was dissappointing! So I'm asking you to pls post your pics of your lowered 5ths with a bit of info on the springs / shocks.

Mine is in the garage at the moment getting the rear bumper resprayed so I'll post some when it's back!

Thanks

Re: Calling all lowered 5ths!

I dunno I was just expecting it to be lower. I have a 3rd gen and it's really(!) low. So when I read the Tein S-techs were 55mm ( 1 inch = 25mm so just over 2") and 30mm at the back. Just over 1".

here they are http://www.conceptautosport.co.uk/pr...d=m8b8s161p529

I will put some pictures up when it comes back from the shop, monday I think.

And it does look good with the lip. What is it?

have the springs had some time to settle in?

i know sometimes it takes some driving to get them to break in and settle where they should be.

X2.. give it some time to settle in..

Also the tein springs are a sport spring.. if you were looking for that good drop with a stiff ride, these are not the springs for you..

these springs are more subtle and add a little drop and a little stiffness for those people that dont like either slammed to the floor or high as a pick up truck.. Its also a very comfy ride compared to race springs (stiffness). But like I said if you were looking for a track setup, these arent for you

Ok thanks everyone. All the Ludes are look sweet! I'm partiocarly impressed with the Skunk2's! Are they a stiff ride? I should have researched it better but to be honest I really like the ride a my 3rd is REALLY stiff! But I'llwait for them to settle then if i'm still not happy i'll change them. lol a MAJOR pain in my ass! I should be getting my car back tomorrow. I'll put pics up!

Re: Calling all lowered 5ths!

Right I got my car back now and after seeing those 2 ludes with the skunk2 spring I'm even more unsatisfied with it! (never happy lol) here are a few pics I just tok:

Front:

Rear:

Also, a bit off topic and you might not be able to notice, but the rear bumped stands out from the rest of the car now (just been sprayed)

Re: Calling all lowered 5ths!

are you sure those were real teins?

http://preludezone.com/showthread.ph...370#post146370

that looks almost stock height, and it doesnt even resemble to my drop either. If anything, just give it time to settle.

Re: Calling all lowered 5ths!

Oh god that sucks! I don't seem to remeber there being a sticker on the spring but they're on the car so I can't check anything else. Here is a picture of the box that I just took.

Thing is the drop is meant to be 30 at the front and 55 at the back and the back is def lower then the front! We called them up from some help while fitting and all seriel numbers matched if that means anything?

They settled around 2.5" give or take

I set the AGX to their stiffest setting so the ride isn't anything like stock but its more fun that way
