Re: Energy Suspension bushings

everything will be much stiffer and a little noisier. if you want great handling, it's worth the squeaks and rattles.

Re: Energy Suspension bushings

About to throw one on my 4G, I'm just waiting for it to come in. Just make sure you use the provided lube/grease on the bushings and you should be fine. I have heard great improvement is seen with either 4G or 5G Preludes. I have been told that this along with a rear sway bar is one of the best suspension investments after a good shock/coil setup. I personally can't wait (except for the tedious and time consuming install), luckily I work at a dealership with a lift and air tools!

Re: Energy Suspension bushings

I love mine... you will feel the bumps a little more and the potential for squeaks is there (I have none after a year, but maybe I can't hear them over my sweet exhaust note...)... If you prefer handling to comfort and you bought the prelude because it's the best handling front wheel drive sports car (or if you just want better handling), go for it!

here's my experience with the master kit, trailing arms, and sway bar/ endlink bushings...

Re: Energy Suspension bushings

I can't wait now, specially after reading all of mr_y82's postings. Luckily I work at a dealer and have another friend who is die hard suspension savy, so between the two I hope to install all of these by myself (with a little help from techs).

Re: Energy Suspension bushings

^takes a good bit of time to get the old one's out... esp if they are old and crusty like mine where after 16 years... I'd say once you get the Poly ones in, it would be an easier job to redo in the future... say 10-15 more years...

basically... I'd say the reduction in comfort is minimal compared to adding sport springs and aftermarket dampers... but it does make the handling stiffer and tighter... I like it.

Re: Energy Suspension bushings

got my kit in on Saturday! I plan on slowly putting the kit in a little at a time, starting with the easy ones. I'm prob going to purchase me a set of Ground Controls soon so I'll wait till then to do all the shock bushings. maybe I'll take some pics of the process.

Re: Energy Suspension bushings

I did all mine, not to much work (did everything outside in my driveway) I just brought the lca's to my friend at the honda garage to press out the old bushings.
The ride is nice and stiff, but not too bad. I just need to get me some sway bars now.
