Rim Spacers

Hey all,

I searched for a while, but nothing came up so beg my pardon if I missed something.

I looked at the sticky, so dont flame! If I get a rim spacer (like so) would that change a rims offset from a +40 to a +45? or does it go the other way (to +35)?

Is this a legit way to make some rims fit?

Re: Rim Spacers

YOYOYOY!!!! DO NOT BUY THOSE SPACERS, wheel spacers normally cost over 80-120 dollars, i would not go with those 10 ebay spacers, those look like a good way to kill yourself. not to sure about the offset lol

Re: Rim Spacers

yes, adding wheel spacers will add more positive offset to your setup.

lmao. I saw this on the "top 10" list with 7 replies and i was like WTH, i started this 20 mins ago!!

There shouldn't be any trouble with this correct? I'm only talking like a 5-7mm spacer, so nothing huge.

Re: Rim Spacers

look around online and spend some money on this, also measure the space between your rim and fender lining. That should tell you more about what size yous need.

Re: Rim Spacers

I run a 5mm set atm. The thing with them is that you need to be really careful that your wheel sits properly flush up against the spacer, (a properly flat one is of course required) and all the wheel nuts are properly torqued up to the right specs.

As stated, they'll add positive numbers to your offset, but if you've got 40 offset rims I"m not sure why you're worried.

The only way a spacer should cost $80-120 is if they're of the bolt on variety. And they can't make them for less than a 20mm application.

Per the sticky, i need +45-+50 for 7" rims. So +5mm on the +40mm of the rims should set me up pretty good.

Edit: These look any good? They do to me, at least better than the egay ones

They're 17x7 +40mm offset, and eventually I'll be doing a 1.3-1.5 drop.

What set are you using?
