Re: tokico struts anyone?

one of the local luders here in knoxville, had the h&r and tokico blue setup. he said that they were soft and rode real nice but they werent very impressive in the handling dept.

Re: tokico struts anyone?

yeha i understand the saving up i just have some other things on th car i need to get done first. im not big on hitting corners at 80mph or anything lol just the stock truts give a lot of body roll i think.

but i think he said 250 and theyve got like 2k miles on them. hes got a shell sitting there and he wants it out so hes getting me some other parts as well for cheap.

Re: tokico struts anyone?

that sounds like a good deal, especially if you're just lookin for ride quality more than stiffness. but did he say if they were the non adjustable blues or the adjustable illuminas.

Re: tokico struts anyone?

im running tokicos on my car. i must say that i am a fan. i used to have stock and these are the only aftermarket ones ive ever had, but i must say that they work great with my coilovers. for the price, i would reccomend them!

Re: tokico struts anyone?

I have the Tokico non-adjustable strut/spring combo kit on my car and i will honestly say i am NOT a fan. The back sits noticeably lower than the front, it didn't really help performance that much and my balls rattle with the slightest bump. Of course i was spoiled early b/c I had D2 suspension on my old car and that is hands down the best setup i have ever had....in fact i am saving up for that same kit again.

Just my experience with Tokico's, get them if they're adjustable. They're a nice upgrade. I've ran them on a Mustang I had and they were great. However, if they are not adjustable, don't waste you're time. There is a reason they're so cheap on ebay. Also, if you look into the competitors in adjustable struts, you'll see the Konis......well.......I've had them a less the 6 months and slammed my Mustang around town and they're both blown and gone! Koni's suck!

Just my two cents worth.
