FAAAAAAAAAACK!!! Lugs.

So I decided to dish out the dough for some quality lugs (Muteki SR48's). Got them today, and they are pretty lightweight, great quality, and look awesome. As they sit here on my desk, I'm looking at them...then I'm like "****!" so I run out to the garage to see if they will even fit in the stud holes on my Enkei's. Sure enough...they don't. These rims are ****in' RICKDICULOUS. They look awesome but I can't use the lugs I want (open-ended for extended studs, long, external drive). The stock acorn lugs don't fit (not a big deal, they're ugly anyways), so the only ones that work are the ****ty open ended internal drive ones like this: http://www.calwheelaccessories.com/e...12openside.jpg

I ****ing HATE those lugs, I can't find high quality ones, plus they don't work with extended studs for obvious reasons. I can't stand replacing lugs every two months because the cheapo's always get stripped or some ****. Should I just bite the dog and get the holes on my rims machined out so they will fit? I don't think it would be horribly expensive and it would put an end to my extremely annoying problem. The only reason I ask if I should do this is...would it compromise the structural rigidity of my rims?

Re: FAAAAAAAAAACK!!! Lugs.

boring out rim, that sounds dangerous, not to mention you can't leave that alloy/aluminum/whatever open, pretty sure you'll have to clear or repaint the part bored out.

just remember from what steph told me..

Re: FAAAAAAAAAACK!!! Lugs.

I don't have that much money lol, and I doubt I will by the time Spring rolls around...unless I sell my Shoguns. And I really have no idea how much they're worth.
