What did u expect? race springs give like a 2 + inch drop...that's low for a street car imo.
I was slammed 2 inches before, i bottomed out a lot and hated driving all funny over bumps lol...

What did i expect?? Almost every car and truck i owned is or was lowered/ slammed 2 or more inchs. And not one of them bottomed out on the coils..aka "COILBIND". OK i should explain the spring is bottoming out not the frame ,wheels, body etc. Just the spring/shock.In other words there is no travel.. I have always used Eibacks and never got into "COILBIND" I am not bashing these springs just wondering what's up... If i try to dive into a corner at speed and it coilbinds it will un weight the front end and throw me into the mountain real quick..For what it is worth I am not new to setting up cars for racing JUST NEW TO HONDAS and what works on them Sorry if i posted this in the wrong thread at first.

No it's cool.
I didn't know this was your first Honda.

Q: what did you do with your bump stomps?

If that hadn't been the issue I had a similar problem... in case someone else has an issue I'll add...

When I got my suspension redone on neuspeed sports and agxes with spc camber kit, I had a really bad problem with what sounded exactly like the shock bottoming out when I went over uneven pavement. I also had another issue in the back and decided to get energy suspension polyurethane bushings... that solved both problems immediately.

it might not necessarily be the bumps stops. it could be the pillow mounts on the top of the shock tower. check over all of you bushing. that could be what you are hearing.

Sweet man. Those bump stops are so important. If they aren't there and your shocks bottom out...it's bad news bears. Goodbye shocks.

Backorder? On rsx 17s? Uhh...you can buy those for MUCH cheaper from a private seller. Try clubrsx.com

I'm not guaranteeing anything, cuz it took me like 4 months to find the ones I have. Not too many people want to part with them, but if you're lucky, you'll find some.

that's a good ride height (is it really a 2" race spring drop??... looks more like the 1.4" sport drop to me *shrug*)... I don't like the slammed look too much for a street car.

I do like the drop on the neuspeed sports (esp the lower front) on my 4th gen..

hmm... I guess I am used to looking at the 4th gens... mine looks about like yours as far as the gap goes between tire and body, but mine are supposedly a 1.7" drop in front and 1.5" rear... though some people a while back on other forums said they ended up a little lower than that. I was reluctant to drop my agxes I got in a trade more than 1.5" because KYB says you aren't supposed to and it voids the warranty... of well... no problems yet!

good look on yours either way... good luck with the setup (how do those race springs feel on the bumps?).

it takes time for new suspension to settle and give the true amount of drop as advertised.

Drop looks good, with the DC5S wheels it will look just about perfect. Those rims are one of the nices wheels you can fit to a 5g.
