If you've read my build thread, then you know about the history of my Prelude and how I came upon it (out of the ashes of my two wrecked Accords) and how I've built it up throughout the 4 years I've had it. Normally I wouldn't have invested this much money into it, but I remember a day back in October of 2007, when I was purchasing a newly refurbished and built head from a guy one town over on Ebay, and that changed my build forever. This was because that same guy, who's name is Eric, asked me if I wanted to buy his Golden Eagle prepped block and I knew if I bought it, there would be no turning back. The Forced Induction was a necessity after that and then came the fact I wanted to beef up my brakes and suspension and if I'm going to have a powerful car that handles well, I'm going to get alot of people asking about it and looking at it, so that made me insistent on a knockout interior. I chose the rarest of rare in the Prelude world, the SiR Prelude and got my hands on everything I could. The car has been a great inspiration to others and never ceases to get applauded when I'm driving it around. Surprisingly, I don't run into any true haters with the car the way it is, because it seems to have something for everybody.

My wife has beared through it all with me and the car, and for that I applaud her and thank her. Not too many women go for guys with a habit of cars. But along the way, I hope she knows that the fellowship I've created with people I meet in person or on a forum because of this car are a little joy in my life.

My dad has also helped me tremendously on the car in the regard that he has helped me with all the little things that I don't think of that ends up saving the debacle I'm facing whether it's something wrong with the engine or something electrical, he usually knows what to do.

Honda Bob also must be thanked because he seems to be a small addition to the family after what the car has gone through. As far as I know, my dad still keeps in contact with him and I message him occasionally as well. But Bob has prevailed through some of the harshest, and oddest situations to get the car running time and again. Working on a car for 30 straight days in the dead cold of an Ohio winter with no heat in his garage followed by him driving 2000 miles from Ohio to El Paso to replace my cylinder head, exhaust system and then retune the whole car, all in my apartment parking lot space in the course of 6 days, was incredible.

I'm currently in Iraq right now, and won't be home for another 10 months probably, but my only goal during this deployment was to win ROTM and here I am.
