DDM Tuning 6k 55watt HID's

Saw a review about these for a 4th gen and thought I'd do one for the 5th gen.
Well before I start Im using them with DEPO's don't know if OEM are any different but the HID itself is too long and kept hitting the reflector piece, pain in the rear. They sell adapter kits well I was told they do haven't checked into that but I was able to get a washer thick enough to pull it back some but still be able to clip the holder into place. SO 5TH GEN USERS buy a adapter or be prepared to use some washers.

Now onto the other stuff. Shipping was overpriced, 15 bucks and took about 6 days, came in a beat up box with some kind of asian writing on it 3/10, though the HID's and ballasts were fine. But the actual quality of the HID,wiring and ballasts is top notch 10/10. Installation 10/10 it was plug n play and the ballasts were easily mounted behind my headlight. Took a drive and they are awesome you can see very well and I was able to aim them to where I don't blind people as much.
Overall 8/10

20 watts.

Seriously though, I've had both.
To the best of my knowledge there is no difference in the bulbs. Only the ballasts are different. Therefore, 55w systems will burn out bulbs faster.
35w are plenty bright. Color is more pronounced. In stock housing, glare lights road signs a LOT sooner than halogen bulbs. You'll still want to use high beams on dark roads, though.
55w is noticeably brighter, and also tend to wash out bulb color a bit. WIth 55w hid's in stock housings, you can barely tell when you turn the high beams on. It is recommended to use a direct battery connection (with a relay) with 55w hid's, though i did not, and had no problems.
Hope this answers your question. Rep please!

Re: DDM Tuning 6k 55watt HID's

I used 55 watt hid's and the color is perfect. Not too blue just lightly tinted.
