Re: Ebay fuel pumps

The consistancy sounds like its remanufactured. Fuel pump is weak, Find a oem. Only other thing it could be is the altanater. My teg did the same thing before I started stripn her down for paint.. Best way to check if it is the altinater is to start the car jump it or w.e. and once started remove the ground from the battery, if it cuts off its ur altanater. and if not then maybe try takin ur battery to advance and getting a replacement. Hope dat helps bra bra.

Re: Ebay fuel pumps

^^^REALLY? NEVER remove a battery cable when the engine's running. You risk electrical damage to your car.

you are giving out some crazy ass advice on your past few posts. i dont know why, but if you dont really know too much about cars, engines, anything mechanical, just dont give out advice at all...

Re: Ebay fuel pumps

DO NOT do the above mentioned suggestion! If your alternator is having issues, your headlights will be dim! Simple check! Also, an "ebay pump" is very vague. I manage an auto parts store and will tell you that the manufacturer of a pump will say alot for how the pump will run. Delphi is a great line of pumps, as are OE brands.

Re: Ebay fuel pumps

You would know if it is the Alternator your gauges would die out and it would electrically shut down even with the battery on. Do not disconnect the cable. The Rhd-ARMY-7 needs to learns something about cars before he gives out this kind of advice, and maybe a grammar less "hope dat helps bra bra"..

RhdARMY7... USMC all the way. Marines are where the men are at lol

Re: Ebay fuel pumps

That's why he joined the army lol. You should just get the Walbro 255 pump. I had one in my turbo teg with 550 injectors. They cost like 95$ and its def worth it.

BTW here's the part number GSS342

Does the cars requires more maintenance when we go for combo fuel like CNG/LPG with Petrol/diesel ?

Re: Ebay fuel pumps

common guys, i'm cheap but at the same time you have to know where you can and cannot skip out on...

OEM fuel pumps generally last well over 150K.
It's not cost effective if you keep having to replace a fuel pump ever 25K only to save $20 off the price of a new walbro.
