KiddRacing tri-Y header

install was a bit more than your normal bolt on DC or Megan header. had to notch out part of my crossmember. fit together well, and bolted together tightly. the angle on it seems more like its made for a H swapped civic (kinda angles down a bit) had to take it to a muffler shop to get them to weld an extension from the header to the cat that also had a bend in it and reduced in size to weld up to the flange that bolted to the cat. this last part wouldnt be an issue if you were runnin 2.5 inch cat back. but would still need to be angled to mate up to exhaust. THIS IS NOT A DRIVEWAY INSTALL.

once installed, my exhaust note is seemingly unchanged. low end power feels no different. however mid to high end power is noticeably increased. (yes, even on my auto slushbox)

ease of install: 4 out of 10
worth the money ($400): 8 out of 10

I had one of these on my H-swapped EF and i could barely let the car down on the coil-overs. It was literally maybe 3 inches off the ground.

Re: KiddRacing tri-Y header

I heard some claim that they don't have to notch out part of the crossmember.

Re: KiddRacing tri-Y header

if you buy the custom mount for the cross member for the tri y you wont have to notch it but then again who has an extra 250-300 for just some mounts just notch it!!!!!!!!!!!
