It will not be a dramatic change man. That heat will transfer. It will maybe take a bit longer once the engine firsts heats up, but dont expect it to 80 degrees when the rest of the engine could light a cigarette
and its 40$ plus shipping, i literally got the same new gasket(stock) for 11 yesterday

Re: Password JDM Intake Manifold Gasket???

It doesn't take a dramatic temp difference when it comes to the air going in to the engine to make a car run better/worse.

Hondata/bisimoto make great im gaskets I'm sure password jdm makes a decent one too.

But what im saying is that heat will transfer no matter the gasket, unless you get something that can cool it. Laws of Physics

Re: Password JDM Intake Manifold Gasket???

ya i just got an OEM one for 15 it didnt jump out at me enough. looked at the Hondata one and it said it only helped like 14 degrees and for 40$ + shipping thats not worth it. id rather go get some purple ice or water wetter and that stuff claims 20 degrees and its only ~10$

Re-using a gasket no matter what the manufacturer says just sounds like a bad idea, IDK that's just me though..

Re: Password JDM Intake Manifold Gasket???

go to hondata's website and read their description about the theory behind these gaskets. They also admit you'd have the same affect by losing about 10 lbs and taking a crap before you race. but hey, anything helps.
