I paid $200. for the shifter itself, the shift boot collar, and a few internal pieces.

I saw the directions on their web site, and seemed fairly simple.
They shipped it out quickly got it in 3 days.

When I received it looked great and I started the installation. It went just like they said step by step. Some things are a pain in the ass but nothing to difficult.(The only thing that was a pain was my niece locked my keys in the car ! So i had to do the old hanger trick).

The test drive: I found the height and throw I liked and drove around the area. It felt great and so much smoother than the oem shifter.

Thoughts: I think by far its one of the best mods done to my car so far. You shift everything you drive and wow does it make it better. I feel like I can shift so much quicker.

I really would recommend this to anyone!

Yeah I'm still getting used to First - Second gear. But every other gear is smooth sailing.

I bought one and I'm really glad I did! its the only "real" short shifter i found for 5th gens.

I ordered mine last Tuesday and still haven't got it. Has anyone here had bad luck with PSPEC customer service? I emailed them today and hope I hear something soon or get it in!

Yup, I just got an email from Pete and he said I'll get it later this week. There was a bolt or nut he was waiting for before sending the kit out. So I'd rather get the kit late but with all the piece rather than getting the kit early without all the parts. VERY HAPPY!!! :)

Well I got my PSPEC today and got it installed and I LOVE IT!

I had a question if anyone can help clarify. On the site where the instructions are http://www.pspectuning.com/9701P_tutorial.php about 2/3 the way down it shows the diagram to adjust the shifter. For making the shifter physically shorter or taller that's easy, but adusting the throw it seems backwards to me, raising the bracket up will make the throw shorter/tighter and down will make it loose... that just seems backwards to me, can anyone clarify why this is? Thanks!

i drove it around to test which height i liked most. i have the shortest throw (which is the tallest setting on the part that connects to the cable) and the shortest height (the part connecting to the shift knob). I think that's the shortest you can get on it. hope that helps.

I think I have an idea on how the throw settings works. It has a lot to do with math and circles. Circumference and stuff. It makes sense but its kinda a hard concept to grasp if you're not math savvy.

Thanks everyone, I actually emailed Pete from PSPEC and he told me how it works and it kinda makes sense but I just wanted to make sure the diagram was right (which I was assuming it was but just wanted to double check). I think I'm going to set mine the same way you did yours 94LudeGuy. Thanks everyone!

i have this and installed its the bomb ... best shifter hands down only one i tried but its good .. big difference :) :) :)

Yeah it is the best shifted I've ever had. I think this is probably the only part that all 5th gen owner would agree on is a great product.

Yep; I have one of these fitted, straight forward to fit and what a difference it makes I couldnt recommend it enough. For the price we got it for on a group buy, it was well worth it, people spend more on a induction kit (for 1or2 bhp)

this is truly a great product. i abosolutely love mine

I'm happy to see this seems to keep getting posts. I've had it on for like 3months? and its still going smooth and is still my favorite thing I changed so far lol.

Does anyone actually make a replacement (the entire shifter) for the 5th gen? I am a bit skeptical with any adapters of anykind..

if not.. i guess i gotta hack and weld my stock one :/

Haha, sweet! Yeah I love my head unit, hooks right up to my iPhone and plays all my music, shows album art, never had a problem with it.

Just an fyi to the 4th gen prelude guys if you have a 94 and up with the plastic shifter base I'm almost 100% you can put this shifter in with out the 5th gen shifter base. But to put it in a 4th your going to need a 5thgen shifter base if you have the steel one.
