Re: PSPEC Short Shifter

Okay, my review of the shifter.
It's a pain in the ass to install compared to a 4th gen shifter. I blame Honda for that though. Just don't assume you'll have it all swapped out and back together in 30 minutes.

The construction of the shifter is very good and precise. I have the height as low as it will go and the throw somewhere between stock and the absolute shortest. With it on the shortest throw, there is very little clearance between your hand and the e-brake, and that was kind of annoying.
Other than that, I think I'm going to enjoy it once I get the console back on. Just need to install a new shift boot I got. I just with the e-brake was moved back about 3 inches.

Re: PSPEC Short Shifter

Hey I was just wondering. I Pspec still around or did they go bankrupt or something? I heard rumours they did and the site doesn't look updated. If they did is there anywhere to still get a PSPEC or a real short shifter? I definitely don't want to get just an adapter

Re: PSPEC Short Shifter

Last I knew, PSpec was no longer manufacturing or distributing their short shifters. Your best bet is to wait for someone to sell one on E-Bay/Craigslist or on one of these forums. Totally worth it though if you can track one down. Mine is probably my favorite thing about my car.

E-mailed them. If i don't get a reply I'm going to assume the worst but I've heard from a few places that PSPEC went outta business. I will confirm here for sure though if I do get a reply back

I know you can't get the 4G short shifter any more soo, that's all I'm saying. Dunno about the 5G unit.

Re: PSPEC Short Shifter

Alright It's official. PSPEC is still around. Got an e-mail from Pete. The site just hasn't been updated in a long time. Shifters are in stock and ready to go. Now comes my internal debate. PSPEC or JTC Customs. If anyone has run both or knows someone that runs one over the other let me know I like doing my research before I drop money
