Xentec HID Kit

Well I have been debating whether or not to get an HID kit for some time now. I did a bit of research on the lower priced brands, 3bspec, vvme and xentec. I looked up reviews and found about a 90% approval rate, but not perfect. I decided to take the chance though.

Seller autoluminate had Xentec HID kits for $60 shipped but accepted a $55 offer. I ordered them around 3pm here in Indiana and they shipped the same day in California. I received the kit two days later and plugged them in that night. For a cheap brand, I'm pleased. I guess I'll let you know if they burn out!

Note: You dont have to take the front bumper off like I did. I had regular bulbs in the cornerlights that matched the stock headlights but swapped them out for light blue, which looked horrible so I put in amber.

Re: Xentec HID Kit

I have Xentec as well. Had them for a year now and they still work perfectly. It was a great investment and I hate driving any other car now that doesn't have projectors or HID's, including my dad's 5th gen.
Halogens are inferior.

Re: Xentec HID Kit

Ahhh it was so worth it. HIDs and getting my windows tinted are my favorite mods.

The bike is next and I'm halfway contemplating 30,000k pink HIDs but I'll probably just get another set of 8000k. Anyone have experience with pink ones?

Re: Xentec HID Kit

The higher the color temp, the less light output there is.
So, a 3500K kit, which would be yellow, puts out more light than our 6000K white kit, but the 6000K put out more than the purple 12000K,
Don't go higher than 8000K.

Holy crapola!

I paid $100 for mine, with a $25 discount. I just saw them on ebay for $60. Price has really gone down. :/
I might buy a 8000K set and give my dad the 6000K I already have.

Anyone have any good pics of the 6000K kit and is anyone running the dual bulb kit which allows the high beams to work also? Do you have a price on those by any chance from Xentec?
