This thread is almost two years old so I don't know how much help I'll be to the original poster but I bought S. Drives for my factory rims 205/50R16 and they seem to be perfect after about 5k miles of use.

I read a few reviews before buying and heard some crap about excessive "tire roar" inside the car but I haven't noticed anything like that whether I'm driving through my neighborhood or cruising on the freeway (I've even had it up just past 140 and didn't hear anything unusual). Stable as a table so far, you can buy these tires with confidence.

Re: YOKOHAMA S. Drive Tires

I run S Drives in 205/55/15s...they seemed to be the best tires in that size so I went ahead with them. They lasted a solid 2 years even with my -2.5 degrees of camber! They would have lasted even even longer if my camber was to spec. Grip in the dry is absolutely awesome. I literaly ordered a new set of four last week because I love them so much.

Re: YOKOHAMA S. Drive Tires

wtf were did u get that info? cause its wrong! treadwear on s-drives is 300 and there is no warranty from yokahoma on those tires. maybe form a tire dealer but not yokahoma. anyway the s-drives are a pretty good tire, it is very soft tire makeing it great for agressive turns ect... it handels very well and if aired up properly and u dont have stupid camper it will wear evenly. great tire for the price i had them on for a lil over a year and now upgrading to continental DW tire.
