Icon5 air fuel ratio gauge

I have posted alot of stuff and questions about n2o on my car and after some research and help from this site everything has been going great so i have just one more question...............i have read that it is a good idea to run an a/f ratio gauge with n2o along with a n2o pressure gauge my question is will a sunpro a/f gauge will work i have read u just tap into the stock o2 sensor, but the local performance shop says that the sunpro gauge will not be acurate enough and i should spend the extra money for an AEM gauge with a new sensor

Re: air fuel ratio gauge

I have an Innovate LC-1 wideband setup.., and it works absolutely flawlessly.. plus it's inexpensive.., I only paid around $175-180 for it..... and you need one anyway if your going to tune.., plus with your setup, tuning is an absolute must.... and it comes with a digital guage, and a narrowband o2 sensor simulator output....

Re: air fuel ratio gauge

narrowband is just a fancy light show. all it does is light up "rich, lean, or stoich (i think??? )". not accurate at ALL!!!

wideband is much MUCHHHHH more accurate since it displays your ACTUAL AFR's

+1 on the LC-1 WB + XD-16 gauge

Re: air fuel ratio gauge

ok so a sunpro a/f guage will be a waste of time and money and a wideband is worth the extra money and more accurate so. what does the sunpro show, nothing? i know when i spray i need to know if the engine is trying to lean out so i dont pop it wouldn't a regular a/f gauge work or do i defently need to go wideband i am only running a 50 shot on a h22 j-spec with a few mods stage 2 cams ,springs, and retainers, cold air intake, 4-2-1 stainless header, 2.5" exhaust and a stage 3 clutch. i just thought the performance shop was trying to sell me the same thing i was planning on getting just the more expensive brand.
