So David totally slacked on getting the camera! He even ran home at one point to get the umbrellas and forgot again. I was so disappointed when I found out we would not have any pics. Next time def! It was pretty epic on my last run when I went all out and ended up sliding in a turn and locking the breaks and taking out the whole wall of cones.

Re: My first auto x

yeah for some reason VW's seem to be the car to have for auto-xing. but i think its because they are the new civic now, the easy car to tune and make fast.

for those that haven't tried auto-xing, DO IT! you'll learn so much about how your car handles.

Great to hear Kurea! I'm looking forward to actually getting a chance to start that myself.

In theory yes it would, as it vastly reduces the diameter of your turning circle.

i dont think it would since it engages at lower speeds. (right or wrong?)

Re: My first auto x

I always wanted to try to Auto X. If I did any form of racing, that would be it.

Yeah mostly, no porches (that would have been sweet), and lots of VW's (they actually seem to be the car to have). A few rx7's, a fiesta, and a couple srt's too. I was the only prelude, and one of a few Honda's, my best friend has an Accord.

OMG all I can say is it was amazing!!!! I had so much fun, it was not at all what I thought it would be. It rained really hard all day, so it made it that much more fun/challenging. I have to admit auto xing looks pretty intimidating, and around here it is a big family thing so you have generations of family members that have been doing this for quite some time. I am def starting it up next season!!! I can't wait! I even beat my best friends time and she has been doing it all season. My best was a 59.3, I placed 3rd in the novice division. In my class top time was 54.8. I was also shocked at how well I could control my car in the wet conditions. I admit I made some newb mistakes but all in all I think I did pretty good.
