Re: I need a tune!
you dont tell anything about rest of your exhaust?
hope thats atleast 60mm and better cat... if not, get them next: - good header - better IM (like blacktrax, skunk2) after those - custom tune dont think that youll be needing head work there... if your valves and other head stuff are ok Last edited by TypeT; 03-07-2012 at 05:51 PM. |

Re: I need a tune!
hahah sorry i knew i was forgetting something.
I have a tanabe hyper medallion exhaust from cat back. I do need a new cat ive been looking at a few but i want a bolt on one that doesnt chnge the sound of my exhaust. thats the main thing im worried about. the reason i was wondering about a tune is i know that its running rich. And im not to sure how the condition of the springs and everything in the head are in. but i read alot about shaving some of the head and getting a port and polish raises compression and increases power. I havent been able to find a intake manifold other than skunk (which i dont want) and a euro type r one. as far as the headers go from what ive found that megan is the best for the money for the power im pushing. once i get more power i plan on getting better headers

Re: I need a tune!
The euro r intake manifold is one of the best manifolds for our cars actually. Dont see why you wouldnt want one. Also the megan header is pretty much worthless. Or just as good as stock. You should look into the hytech replica or the new vibrant header they just came out with.

Re: I need a tune!
i never said i didnt want the euro type r. I guess my research was futile but i thought there wasnt much difference from our and the euro type r?
i will look into those headers :)

Re: I need a tune!
yeah he said he doesn't want a S2 IM, which I don't blame him. they're a horrible company. I have a euro r manifold. untuned. definite increase in tq and hp, mainly tq. I completely agree with blackbb6 on the header suggestions. if you want even more hp, upgrade to a 3" exhaust as well. increase in hp and tq across the whole powerband

***Rosko Racing***
thats the euro r you want. the stock one takes a crap load of fabrication and modification to make fit. and i have the hytech header

IMO not worth of the cost Quote:
I got vibrant. fits perfect...it just need short "fitting pipe" to the cat and IMO its a better product than any of those replicas (people have had problems with them) Quote:
I bought that skunk2 over year ago, have had no problems with it. when my head was made, the guy (professional, he does rally teams engines etc) said that compression should come from pistons, that he really doesnt like the idea getting if from shaving head Last edited by TypeT; 03-08-2012 at 01:35 AM. |
