compression test results. what yall think??

ok did a valve adjustment and then a compression test, the results read

cylinder 1: 158
cylinder 2: 155
cylinder 3: 158
cylinder 4: 165

im rocking the jdm h22a by the way. i felt that each cylinder was about the same until the 4th one. so do guys think i need a new head gasket or all new piston rings????

and my coolant hoses get a little hard when my engine warms up....so kinna leaning towards head gasket???

i plan on doing a leak down next.

Check everything that has to do with your spark then. Check the plug wires, plugs, distributor, ignition wire (not sure if these are in the distributor, but my friends had this issues on b18b), coil pack, and the plug wire connecting the distributor to the coil pack.

Re: compression test results. what yall think??

1) those numbers are absolutely fine, nothing to worry about.

2) you most likely unplugged the coil wire/dizzy connectors/fuel pump fuse to do the compression test so that the engine won't fire up. check those items.

yea that's what i thought it had to be sum thing that i changed. but i did not unplug the dizzy or fuel pump because i read that simply unplugging the clock 10a fuse cuts off the ecu and thus not giving a spark or fuel. i put it back in after but no results.

i will be getting a volt meter after work and plan on testing some fuses and the dizzy line for 12volts but if not i suppose ill take off my dizzy and go get it tested.
