H22A OBD1 or OBD2?

Long story short, I'm buying an h22a long block from hmotors. I have the choice to buy an OBD1 H22A for $1,000, or I can buy an OBD2 H22A for $1,300. The engine is going in my '99 Prelude BASE, now I am fully aware that my car is OBD2, but my question is, what's stopping me......or rather what would it take to get an obd1 h22a to work properly in my OBD2 car AND still remain OBD2 like normal? I'm not wanting to convert to obd1.

Since I'm only needing the engine, would I be able to just swap all my sensors and dizzy over to the obd1 h22a and save myself $300? Or is it just not that easy? If you know what it would take, please feel free to chime in, I need this information so I can make a purchase very soon. Thanks for the help.

Edit: I'm not sure if it matters, but I thought I would mention that the motor in my car right now is a JDM H22A.

Re: H22A OBD1 or OBD2?

if you plan on doing any mods and/or a tune in the future, just go OBD1 and be done with it.

if you gotta pass inspection/emissions tho, it's pretty damn hard to do when converted to OBD1, so i'd stay OBD2 if you do have inspection
