a buddy came to me with his 94 prelude h22 the car idles fine when cold then when warmed up idles at 1000rpms
second issue is vtec will hit when the car is fully warmed up but only 1-2 times then stops working and will not go over 6500rpms with no vtec the oil level is full and not burning any more than normal any ideas i was thinking possible tps? or solenoid giving out? ill put a new solenoid filter kit but would like other suggestions first

take the solenoid off and clean the screen inside, i have that problem, it was a lot of metal debris in the screen stopping it up, if its bad enough that there's metal in there you probably are on the verge of a rebuild. If you are lucky it will be oil coaking or gasket material clogging up the screen. When I rebuilt mine i couldn't afford that gasket with the screen, i just removed the screen and ran it. works every time now. But my car is not a daily driver. Its only driven when its time to pound the pavement at the track.

Definitely your solenoid valve. I removed mine just to clean for fun, and I am glad I cleaned it! It was very clogged and the screen had a wall of sludge on it.
Here is a photo after cleaning.(I wish I took a before.)

Imagine that all black.
I went ahead and bought a new screen/gasket for it.

Mine sometimes won't kick in if I'm full throttle, but if I'm about 3/4 and under it will kick in... Possibly the solenoid? Or maybe I need a tune up?

As always.. check your solenoid, most importantly check to see if the gasket is not clogged up. They will build up and can cause issues.
