F20a4 Tuning Mods
Yo, got quite a few questions to cover if its not to much to ask you nuts.
Basically i wanted to swap out a h22a into my 4th gen but insurance is a no go so i have had to knock it on the head, read more into a turbo conversion and thought its a bit to much for to get stuck into so im happy to do some stuff to the f20 lump within a reasonable price range for now. So... some questions. Induction: Heard good things about the AEM v2 from a few people, whats everyones thought on these as they are quite pricey but seem to deliver well. Header: Gonna go with this i think Honda Prelude (92-96) SI 2.3 Non VTEC Tubular Manifold ---Japspeed Performance Parts as i have been told that the 2.3 header has better flow and fits the f20 just plug and play. Could anyone verify whether or not this header is ok or whether i need a f20 specific set. De-cat: Having a bit of trouble here, finding one... can anyone recommend a site in UK i could find one? Intake Manifold: Now this is the real question i need help with at the moment. I have caught wind of being able to replace the f20a4 intake manifold with a h23a2 manifold to increase performance. Is this genuine and is it plug and play as i have heard or is there modification needed? How will this help the power of the car and is it worth looking further into? Throttle Body: This keeps popping up everywhere i look and need a little explanatory help on this one. Is this something worth doing for the price and what size body should i go for? Now, i know that it wont reach as much potential without port matching but could someone explain to me what port matching actually is and how its aids power, how much roughly does it cost and is there any other parts that should be upgraded at this point if i decide to go for a bigger throttle body? Lightened Crank Pulley: Found this and basically just want to know whether or not its worth the money http://www.performancepartswarehouse...1992-2001.html Uprated Cams: Now i know that these make a difference, any reccomendations as to what size and brand to go for? Gotto remember im in the UK so i need either international parts or parts for sale here. I appologize if there are some newbie questions and if it seems like i am asking quite a lot of questions but i really want to know everything about what i am doing so that my car will be safe and running sweet. If there are other mods that you can recommend please shout them out i.e such and such without such and such bottlenecks this and that.
