Getting T-Belt Changed

Im in the process of getting my timing belt replaced as im hitting 133000 miles. I bought the car when it had 70,000 miles on it and i dont think the timing belt has ever been changed. I understand Certain parts and seals also have to be changed or should be changed as a precaution and to save money. I have purchased the following seals:

Skunk 2 Cam seal
Main Oil Seal / Crank Seal
Balancer Shaft Seal
Water pump Seal

All parts are from the stealership.

The questions i have are:

1) Should i also buy the Timing Belt and Balancer Belt from the dealers or can I get away with getting one from an auto parts shop, reason being is the dealers want 135 for both belts whereas the parts shop want only 40. but I dont wanna cheap out on such an important part.

2) Is there any other seals I should replace?

any input would be appreciated.

Re: Getting T-Belt Changed

You didn't change the t-belt at 90,000 miles? 133,000 is way past the replacement point.

Re: Getting T-Belt Changed

tell me about it! i have been meaning to get it changed for ages but im still getting all the valvetrain components together for an N/A Skunk2 build. i have got all the parts needed and am just waiting on the timing belt and balancer belt. thats why i created this thread to check if i have missed any crucial parts out.

Re: Getting T-Belt Changed

damn how'd i miss this one. you pretty much covered all the important seals. MAYBE the oil pan gasket, but that can be done easily with everything assembled.

where'd you end up getting the belts from? honda or parts store?

Re: Getting T-Belt Changed

You were fortunate that it didn't break between 90,000 and 133,000.

Re: Getting T-Belt Changed

ill probably go for the dealership because i cant afford for it to be crapping out on me anytime soon. my car is still under warranty but if they find out i have uprated valvetrain components they might void my warranty so i would rather not take the chance
