Re: H22 Build-Up Information

VERY handy, nice write up! i couldn't help but notice that fuel upgrades (rail pump injectors etc) aren't adressed here? unless it's just kind of assumed that you'd upgrade with the camshafts..but i'm on stage1 skunk2's that dont require valve/fuel upgrades (honestly it's putting me to sleep i'm already looking at stage2's) but i'm still wondering if i should do fuel upgrades or if there's an optimal time/marker for when to go ahead and upgrade..

Re: H22 Build-Up Information

Im not too sure on how to operate this site, im looking for a general questions place but i'll ask here and hopefully someone can help me out.
I have a 99 lude and yesterday i went down to an exhaust shop and had a custom built exhaust installed. he replaced the catalytic converter with a 20" glasspack, upgraded piping to 2.25" and put on a magnaflow muffler. I lost a considerable amount of power and now it's just really loud and slow. Im short on cash now so what would be the cheapest way to fix this? I'd rather help get more air entering my engine to try and match the air leaving it, i have a secret weapon R intake, how do i get more air in without turboing/supercharging it? And also how do i restrict the exhaust a bit more so the air leaving and entering is more matched? Thanks

Re: H22 Build-Up Information

I appreciate the repost of this from the Attack Forums. If anyone wasn't aware this was wrote for the H22 Drop into the A1 Kit Car Attack, which is why you see the references to MR setups for engines and exhaust routing (back around) the engine.

Also at this time it is becoming out-dated, it's going on 10 years old and doesn't include the advances of Rosko Racing's Euro-R Intake Manifolds or some advances in the cam department.

Overall it's a FANTASTIC write-up on the motor build itself but be sure you also supplement it with research into some of the more modern advances in the H22 field.
