gasket replacement progress thread

So...yea i found out my head gasket is blown.....so im goin to replace all of the gaskets.....buy a new water pump, make sure the fan is working correctly, check to see if block or head is warped, and possibly get it port and polished.

So far i got the valve cover off and the header unbolted from the head

then i was under the car trying to take the header completely off............................................... ..........then the wrench falls n lands on my mouth and nails my tooth that was been broke before and has a replacemnt part put on...and breaks it off.....for the third time....and my proms tomorrow!......more updates on the tear down this weekend

Re: gasket replacement progress thread

just leave the intake manifold on, it will be easier that way. you will have to take the bolts out of each of those cam caps and then tap the cam caps with an extension and they should start to pop up.

Re: gasket replacement progress thread

yup take the timing belt off, take cam caps off, pull cams out, then you can get to the headbolts. your going to need alottttttttt of leverage to take the headbolts out too. or air tools.
