General knowledge/ Preparing for N/A builld.

Hey everyone, I'm currently interested in( not planning to atm) N/A builds. I've already seen the "What should I do for N/A" threads and thats not really what I'm after here. I'm hoping to be able to find some more general knowledge, mainly because I'm not even gonna think about tackling a N/A build until I know as many aspects of how an engine runs as I can. And try as I might I can't find any threads that are strictly for general knowledge, and lets face it if more people are exposed to more general knowledge the overall n00b factor may go down. SO I was hoping to start a general engine resource thread. If anyone has come across any good info on how an engine works, or maybe a diagram, or a flow chart anything of that nature it can go here.

I'll start with my findings so far ( and yes,my findings are still very limited, that is why I created this thread so that hopefully you guys can help me out, BUT if I'm asking for help I might as well offer what limited info I have to those who don't know this much...)

The Fundamentals
1.)http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A633232
2.)http://www.desmodromics.co.nz/ana1.htm
3.)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_combustion_engine
4.)http://www.animatedengines.com/otto.shtml

Good video:
Make sure to watch the 2nd part to it. this is quite possibly the best video I've ever seen on youtube...I actually learned from it instead of rotting away more brain cells! w00t!
Advanced and above

This is where I was hoping some of the veterans on here will chime in.

Thank you all for the read, hope this is sticky worthy

Although precision and tolerances are paramount in the N/A world. Let us not forget that F/I may not require as much precision to get good gains, but think of all the trapped HP you may have by not taking as much care as a great N/A buld has.

I know Im preaching to choir....but h*ll...the pastor does it anyway.
