Thinking about getting a new throttle body any suggestions?

I am looking to get a new throttle body next month and would like a little help in deciding which one to purchase. I would like one that fits on the stock H22 intake manifold. What is the largest size that I should get? What is a good brand to get? Thanks for the help.

I made 216WHP on an S2k throttle body, but I'll likely upgrade to something larger with this new engine I'm hoping to build. I have a spare S2k throttle body, if you're interested. :)

I hear a lot about people using S2k TB's. I know blake (98Vtec) uses (or used) a S2k TB and thats saying a lot. I hate soundin like i'm dick riding, but he really knows what he's doin. He's very well known in the prelude community for his car and his builds.

What mods do you have? Why do you feel you need this part?

He also has extensive work done with his car. He isn't slapping parts on and hoping for gains just based on what other people suggest. That's why I think this thread won't really be a very useful one...

No real engine mods yet, although I am just getting into that cause I am done with suspension. I am not really looking for any gains, I am looking to replace my worn out stock throttle body (throttle plate is all caddywompis lol) and if a part needs replacing I might as well get an upgraded part (Probably cheaper than OEM too). Just want to get opinions on which brands are good and which are bad. Although the S2K TB does look like a good option it doesn't have an FITV right? I just did the FITV delete to my stock one and I personally don't like it cause it is so cold here.

Re: Thinking about getting a new throttle body any suggestions?

The S2k does not have a fast idle thermal valve. You won't miss it.

I know Blake a bit, we've helped each other out here and there.

But if you have the itch, I would say go with the S2K TB. Of course, since you have no other engine work done...it might be totally pointless...could even hurt performance.
