Any tips u could give me on preserving that auto tranny I got on my '97 lude ? Do you use the sport shift at all or do u keep it in auto. Your pics of your car are real nice. Unique color, I like it

It's been a few weeks since I've been on but I have some questions that I need answered and I figured that this would be the best place for those answers. I started my 98 base model prelude one morning about a week ago and heard some ticking. I drove it to work and back ( 5 miles total) and then I lost all power and steering. I looked under the hood and both belts were shredded. I bought some new belts ($20 for both) at napa. Any ideas as to what caused these belts to shred? Also, I would like to buy a new motor for my prelude but not sure where to buy one. I've seen some on eBay but I'm not sure how reliable these are and which to get. My vin number is JHMBB6240WC009356. I've hear that this will help determine which motor that goes back inside my lude. Thanks in advance
