I purchased my 2001 base Prelude in 2005. I was actually looking for a passat but I was at a dealership and I walk by it and the sales person noticed that I was interested. Of course he just wants to get me to test drive it so I do, and I end up buying it. It was already lowered, had a AEM CAI and a loud ass N1 style exhaust. I had always adored the styling of the 5th gens at stop lights, in parking lots etc.. Well now I own one and I've never gotten so many speeding tickets in my life!

I'm going to go stick with white for painting the lip kit, hood and spoiler, polished aluminum accents outside the car and in the engine bay (rims, strut bars, valve cover, oil cap, where ever possible) with blue LED interior lights (for the gauges, cruise/fog buttons, climate control) and silver accents in the car matching the silver H on the S2000 steering wheel. I was initially thinking red stitching for the black leather, then blue stiching, but right now I'm just going to stick with plain black leather interior(S2000 black leather seats up front).

I love the S2k wheels like that. To be honest I'd leave them time attack style, as I love the black/white contrast you've got happening. Either way, looks good, and you've made some significant progress which is always great to see.

FIFTH GENERATION RESOURCE GUIDE <<<-- USE IT, USE IT, USE IT!

Exhaust mostly. My muffler was damaged about 3 weeks ago. They've been tearing up the roads in various neighborhoods, and you know how the manholes end up a few inches up when they do that before they lay down new asphalt. Well I was catching a yellow through a left turn and it pretty much ripped it apart. Since then my mpg has gone down considerably as well as performance. I have my lude parked for now, now that my mother and sister are done borrowing my other car. I've bought that Megan header, so it's Carsound/Magnaflow cat and cat-back(I'm not really sure which one) next. I keep hearing about that "collector mod" but I really have no idea what people are talking about.

I went to a paint shop to see how much they would charge to fix up and paint the front bumper(I'm removing the convex and holes from the license plate), do my CF hood 2-tone, and paint a 4-piece oem lip kit. Unfortunately I went to one of the best shops in town and he's asking for $2300, which is way more than I'm going to spend on paint. I mean seriously maybe $2300 to paint the whole car? I'm willing to do any prep work possible, I might honestly just buy a canopy from Costco with 4 walls that I can seal up, buy a compressor and a spray gun and do this myself. He was talking about an ABS filler, rather than fiberglass for the bumper and some polyester primer and that I shouldn't actually prime any of the stuff, that it would do more harm than good. He seemed to know his stuff...
