Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

also ended up getting a spare engine to tinker with a bit.

so far ive accumulated quite a few parts to be installed on this engine. will probably be swapping it next winter once i put it all together. slowly taking my time. so far what i got to put on this engine:
-Ported out Intake manifold
-74mm Throttle body
-AEM fuel rail with fuel pressure regulator
-RDX 420 cc Injectors
-Skunk 2 pro 2 cams
-Vibrant header

aswell as redoing some of the seals, i will still need some new valve spring and retainers. planning on going with skunk2 kit or supertech.

Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

body had started to develop some serious rust after maybe a year of owning the car. i didnt have the money at the time to do a complete paint job and/or repair. so sanded everthing down myself, puttyed and primed to survive a bit longer til i could save some money. despite looking HORRIBLE, is till went out to all the local prelude and car meets. no reason to be ashamed of a project haha. so finaly this year i saved up enough money to get the job done.

i had a black chalkbord trunk for a while after mine rusted through. dont judge haha

this wasnt the work of the actual body shop, but of me and a friend trying to do it ourselves and failing miserably. thank god the guy at the body shop only laughed a bit. gotta try i guess

Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

decided to try my buddies set of wheels. his car was at the shop and he was dying to see what they would look like. they are nice wheels, but not on my car haha.

Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

engine was running rough as hell and could hear the valve hitting the cams. decided to do a valve adjustment and things got much better. but still i feel the car is lacking power i dont know why. as if its running at 60-70%. just cant seem to find the problem. ive changed and cleaned everthing i can think of. next on my lidt is to chek fuel pressyre.

Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

there is a tonnnnn more i could write about. but dont really have the pics to support it. so ill just post a bunch of pics from random meets to kinda show what my car looks like now. very proud of the progress ive made over the last 2-3 years with this car and to know that there is so much more to come motivates me to keep on moving forward. ofcourse like any build theres ups and owns. but all worth it hehe

before all the lip kits:

small local meet at the famous orange julep in montreal:

canadian prelude club eastern meet:

me and my buddy the day after washing off all the bugs

setting off to vermont to meet some friends

some rolling shots on the way to vermont

showing off my bay :P

this was at racewars Montreal

quick polish before another meet:

at the meet:

at plattburg beach. friend is using my car to get a shot of his own lude haha

season closing meet up in montreal:

that meet was a bitter sweet for me. im usualy the one to lead the convoys on the meets/cruises down here. at some point the pac got seperated from me by a pick up truck that ended up runing into my bumper and making a hole and some deep scratches. i wasnt that mad as things like this happen i guess. continued the cruise and had a blast!

just me and a few friends:

beautiful shot

another favorite:

so that about sums it up. hope you enjoyed. will continue to post updates. feel free to leave me any feedback or msgs. always love talking with you guys!

Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

It could even be a poor ground.. Since u relocated the battery out could be simple as that. A DVM would be very handy for u to test resistance across the ground and the batt, test for voltage output and drop.. It sounds complex but it's simple. Any questions just shoot

Re: my planejane prelude build (pic heavy)

Picked up some coilovers on the weekend. a guy was selling locally for a good price so i thought i would give them a try.
they are STD R1 coilovers. like any product, it had mixed reviews. but the good dampening adjustment is what sold me. i use my car for many different things (i daily it, show car and this year im even tracking it). so the adjustability made it worth a try. if any of you know much or have reviews on these coils please share.
only went a bit lower than my other set up.

Re: :::Adrian_prelude::: 2000 SE

so i've been pondering for a while now and finaly decided to take the leap into forced induction, this wasnt really planned until my buddy found a sweet deal for me locally. No its not a turbo that will get me 4-500hp. but it is this beautiful JacksonRacing Supercharger!!

like i said, forced induction was never a plan as i love to daily my car and cruise arround. but i feel with a supercharger, i will still be able to do so and have my fun with it. the suporting mods for it arent as intense as a turbo also, so its a bit easier on the wallet. i dont plan on using the JRSC management system tho. thinking more something along the lines of a Greddy Emanage. lets see how far this goes haha

so ... wish me luck!

Hopefully that photo doesn't show all of your parts. Also looks as if your short belt tensioner pulley has been swapped for something else.

And supporting mods are a bit more than you'd expect lol

That pulley looks a bit big I thought.. Is gonna say he could put on a smaller one for more boosts!
