i'm sure your nephew will enjoy the ride and know it will last for a while
The car is older than he is, but he loves it.
Any updates on your car?

i think i've missed mentioning the replaced windshield that cracked less than a year after replacing it, when i got it done they found some rust on one corner and said it'll probably cause a crack again

so I've got a couple of referrals to see how much that'll cost

also will post some more pictures once I clean it up

...cleaned up the interior

...would you all believe i was driving for many months without the fans connected?? ...was driving on the highway and having some fun with accelerating etc, AC cranked on high, one of the hottest days, come off the highway and see my needle rising ....so decided to change out most of the fluids

...went with synthetic 5w30 for the first time

...so, for sure this time, this is the smoothest and most responsive I had the car running (i've said this before when the fans weren't connected lol)

...also spent almost $400 on a optima yellow top - my hope is that since i barely drive the car it'll last more than 8 or so years the last battery lasted and that it won't leak like the last battery

Interior looks great!

but...

1) best to be consistent with the type of oil you use in your engine.
2) optima batteries suck, return it and get a Duralast from AutoZone. No reason to spend $400 on a crappy battery when a ~$150 battery from autozone will be more reliable, lasts longer, and comes with a 3-year free replacement.

yeah, have not cleaned the interior in a while

...on the oil, yes, i meant to say that I've switched to synthetic 5w30 - was late to the synthetic game, still too early to have a good comparison but I think I'll stick with it

...on the battery, I'm in Canada so we don't have Duralast, - looking at autozone prices the Duralast Platinum AGM battery runs $190 american dollars and the Optima Yellowtop goes for $280 american

...here we got CanadianTire as an Autozone, and their brand is MotoMaster and they cost from $200 to $380 for their AGM type batteries

the warranty here for the Optima is 3 years, from my searching, I picked this one thinking it is top of the line so hearing you say they stink does not go well with my ears :)

not to sound morbid about my car, but am hoping this will be the last battery needed - that is, if i can get another 10 years out of this car, that would be great for my pocket lol

Re: :::tdg:::2001 SE

the prelude is for sale!!

has 202,000 kilometers
only needs windshield replaced and daytime running lights fixed to certify

put it on autotrader and kijiji for $14,995 Canadian, no dice
dropped the price to $7,995 and am getting messages non stop

what do you all think is a good price?

tons of major parts replaced - exhaust, clutch, every seal, gasket etc ...all done with the honda dealer (yes, expensive )
