I will use industrial grade hand laid fiber glass. Am also now talking to a supplier about the use of carbon fiber.

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

ok so screw the pop ups .. i went with my first idea , heres a first fit test , Its going to look good with the mesh and all.
And heres a little update on the interior , cleaned up but not 100% yet , still have to plug my speedometer , and the fuel gauge.
I added an electric fuel pressure gauge , and an AEM FPR instead of the crappy one they gave me with the turbo kit, I installed my Snow water meth controller and my Turbosmart controller . 1 more day and I will be ready for tuning . Heres some more pictures !

Alright so I finished plugging everything tightening everything , and cleaning everything.
I started it again with a different program and it ran better , runs way to rich though ..!
So I kept going and its now ready to go on the dyno . In a couple days I will post some numbers for everyones pleasure ! Until then here are some more pictures of the interior cleaned up

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

Update :

Do not buy a map sensor off Ebay ... just gay ... realll gay.. spent two days trying to figure out if my wiring was wrong .. ended up being a ****ty map sensor from ebay .
Ordered a Hondata omni 3bar map sensor.

Did first dyno pull , max 3000rpm , max 8psi boost, It was overboosted a 3000rpm ! so the turbo is awesome , will most likely be giving me my 19psi .
Piston slap is loud , and head isnt getting a lot of oil ... but no pinging so far or any other bad noises , exhaust was all reworked in 2.5" split downpipe with v-band in the middle , new vibrant 2.5" flexpipe ... it looks so good xD

Full pull as soon as we get map sensor tomorrow!!

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

Ok so heres an update on the project

tuned to 6200 rpm , no vtec YET at 10 lbs of boost 260whp with 65-35 meth

Had issues with my tuner .. so Im changing shop. next wednesday I will have a dyno sheet and a video of full power.

I had a few mods added .

-new tire size 205/40r17 are gone, no traction what so ever .... :D 235/50r17 is now on there. Much better traction.

-Fuel cell is installed , with inline 255 lph walbro pump, way better.

-meth injector bong rethought.

-rewired and replumbed EBC , much better control.

-Got my bumper back from the shop, wired headlights in , looks mean as hell.

-still need to wire up turn signal and rear position lights , made my own flasher unit on-dash . looks cool I'd say.

heres a few pics , enjoy !

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

Wow, u went all out. You remove the heater core and blower, etc?? I'm considering it. But there will be those cold dry days I want to go for a rip..

FYI: man, keep an eye on your motor mount tabs, where the bolts go through and seat against the lip.. Not the middle bolt, make sure they don't bend or anything over time. I'm wondering if all the extra urethane enforces the unit so well the extra forces won't escape through the rubber and could bend the mounting tabs.

I may be looking into it too much tho.. Can't b too safe!

Everything is removed , heater core blower a/c core its all empty under there, its a lot more room for all the custom wiring and stuff.

I do keep an eye out for that actually , especially on hotter days where I'll actually have more traction... lol so far its straight and I do notice a difference in stability.

Nice.

Of anything was ever to bend with those tabs. Maybe sandwich a SUPER strong washer in there. Looks like a good motor mount idea tho, I would consider it.

it cost me 20$ to buy the urethane and some tape to keep it clean , then some Ebay mounts ... so 100$ all together , just look at inserts they sell for oem ones and they do exactly the same thing , those steel ones are just way overkill, the welds on the subframe will break before the mounts ... pick your weakest link id say... cheaper to fix a mount then reweld a bracket.

on an other note i took an appointment at the paint shop , going 3inch under door window will be flat black and hood , roof and trunk will be army green .it will be finished when i come back from work in two weeks

thanks ! Im confused with how this motor is reacting to the tuning , so much torque but still low hp considering whats on it . Im also wondering why I cant take it further then 7000 rpm within power band .. it could be the oversized tires taking some dyno hp away .. on the road it feels like a rocket lol
oh and please notice the fact its spitting fire at the wastegate :P thats just soo ****in cool

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

It wouldnt possibly be running a bit rich? Fire spit doesnt make it all the way to the back ?

Leaning it out could get you some more hp's, but then u may lose the fire :P

Your tuner should know why its capped at 7000. I dont know that... ECU parameters?

Could it be something a bit more mechanical, like timing ?

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

Its rich for sure lol around 10.5:1 under 18psi , it could be timing too , cams are oem timing...but ecu is all out ...it only flames up at the wastegate lol

Re: :::{ktowng22}::: 1992 S

Cops in Vancouver would have my ass! Lol but the flame lick does look sexy.

Ya if it was really rich flames might have gone all the way back. Look into timing or fuel delivery, I don't know why you're capping out there.

I don't have a build thread yet... Still tearing stuff down, so, I do have a teardown thread highlighting my breakdown, lol. Gonna see what we can learn from it. And what went wrong. I have a members ride thread too. Go to my profile, click statistics and see the threads started by me. Should be the most recent ones..

Makes for a cool picture, but the other (much slower) car was cross the finish line before the S2000 was half way.

You can see in the pic how far the other car was behind.
