The car is mothball'd OGS meaning plates are retired with DMV, inspection expired and insurance is non driveable. I can reactivate the plates and upgrade insurance at somepoint.

Glad you are stickin' out the school thing E. It's going to pay big dividends later.

Re: ::::Bykfixer:::: 97 Prelude type SH ; aka mid life crisis car

To be honest, everyone in school is much more knowledgeable regarding the topics discussed in class. It's tough because I've slacked off during the semester. I am close to graduating but school is draining.

I somewhat dislike how the system is setup. Some of my professors' teaching methods are not up to par for what I am paying for. I wish there was just a general test to take instead of professors making the tests. That would ensure a standard to meet. When I do finish my degree, I am definitely making a change in education.

I'm sorry for ranting on your build thread, but there are only a few of us active on this forum.

Rant on dude.

Yeah, the system is broken and professors often have huge ego's. Play the game by their rules and you win. Trouble often times their rules are to adopt their philosophy and don't you dare think differently...

Re: ::::Bykfixer:::: 97 Prelude type SH ; aka mid life crisis car

Work has placed me where I will be monitoring one government agency for another. Agency 1 hired a contractor that was weak on protecting mud from entering streams. Agency 1 was not diligent in notifying agency 2 of the problems. Agency 2 found out.

Agency 2 has bigger muscles than agency 1. They flex'd said bigger muscles and cracked down on agency 1. Agency 1 paid no heed. Agency 2 cracked down again. This time imposing heavy fines on agency 1. Agency 1 cried "uncle" and beg'd agency 2 to back off. Agency 2 required agency 1 to hire a full time monitor to report to agency 2 and guide agency 1 in how to keep agency 2 happy.
That's me.
Agency 2 has multiplied the penalties and increased regulations to near impossible to achieve levels. My role will be to ensure agency 1 notifies agency 2 of any rule violations. Agency 2 will then decide if it was a violation due to neglegence or was unpreventable.

Meanwhile the contractor agency 1 hired has executives connected in high places like... the White House and Congress. So that has agency 1 at the mercy of the contractor and agency 2. Interesting times lie ahead.

There goes resuming Ole #97 anytime soon.
