Re: :::KT95::: 1995 SE/VTEC

Alright so long story short my F22B was smoking and leaking some oil out of the head so i decided to buy a whole Accord with a H22A in it for 1000 bucks.i bought it with some bolt on mods with it and used the Accord transmission too. i have all the pics and everything on my build thread if you care to see everything about it. it had some bet vales and i rebuilt the head and all new gaskets all around and did the swap and BAM i did it! the H22 had next to none wear on the piston walls when i took the head off, i also did the H23 tensioner swap on the H22A little bit later my clutch goes out for some weird reason, till this day i do not know what went wrong, i think something got between the clutch and flywheel.

here is pics of my Exedy stage to clutch with resurfaced flywheel.

painted the oil pan flat red while i was at it and gutted my rack and pinion

and here is my happy H22!

Re: :::KT95::: 1995 SE/VTEC

alright so im a be back tracking so ya'll can know the whole story with pics :)
so after driving the Lude quite a bit going to school and gym knowing that the engine was burning oil. my dads friend that i had bought the Prelude from also had a 97 Accord with a H22 swap that i had wanted to buy from them since 2010, they had tried to do a wire tuck and i guess had messed up some of the wiring and couldnt get it started no more and gave up so told me they were selling it for 1000 bucks. so now having a prelude that burns oil i knew i wanted the Accord just for the H22 and so i bought it and trailered it home. i tried fixing the wiring so i could run the engine in the Accord to make sure everything was running properly, but after countless hours i couldnt start it. so i decide just to do compression test and found out it had bent valves which wasnt a major thing since it was a simple task, especially since i would have the engine out.

it came with adjustable fuel regulator :)

also came with RC injectors and Golden Eagle fuel rail but i dont have a pic of it

It also came with a OBX lighweight crank pulley but i knew it was junk so i had used the pulley from the F22B

Re: :::KT95::: 1995 SE/VTEC

i had sold the Accord on craigslist for parts and made 800 bucks in total. so basically i only paid 200 bucks for the engine and transmission with the aftermarket parts, not bad if you ask me

Re: :::KT95::: 1995 SE/VTEC

after about 3 months o driving my Prelude to school and back mu clutch had started to act up on me and felt like it the throw out bearing had gave out on me so i decide to upgrade and get a stage 2 Exedy clutch and resurfaced the flywheel, while i was at it i decided to do something different and paint my oil pan flat red, probably should of done wrinkle red maybe in the future i'll redo it. i also took out all the power steering line and gutted my rack and pinion (no pics tho)

Re: :::KT95::: 1995 SE/VTEC

bought some JDM/USDM/EDM parts such as rear center subwoofer bracket and plastic covering, clear fog lights with cover, rear speaker covers, JDM tweeter foglight switch, AEM V2 intake which had a bunch of dents and i took to my friends shop to be painted (should be getting it back this Sunday), MINT JDM one piece headlights, Euro R Intake manifold, USDM P13 ECU (i didn't need one but got it because there hard to come by), the guy also gave me one clear amber light (he didn't have the other one because of a accident he had. none of these parts have been installed lol

Re: :::KT95::: 1995 SE/VTEC

also forgot to mention while doing all this work i also finished swapping all the tan parts for all black interior with the bottom door panels without the carpet. interior is really clean and FRESH i get many compliments about it. yea i know the carpet has a weird color to it, doesn't look so bad in person but i plan on switching it out.
