:::Preyruder::: 89 2.0si 4ws progression

title says it all... this is the progression of my prelude through it's ownership since may of 2012...

little backstory!..
I wanted a prelude since I was 16. But the affection for that boxy body style started well before that. My first ride home from the hospital, and a majority of my young childhood I would learn to adore and love my dads "Red Car". I bet you guys can guess it was a prelude? an 86Si in red to be exact. I loved 3GS but the thought of an old car and rust shyd me away. looked at a few 4th, 5th gens and nothing appealed to me or my dad - whom was helping pay for my first car we end up going with something my dad likes the most: a Jeep. fast forward two years and me working my butt off I end up saving and making enough money to begin the search for a prelude

So I did what most of us do.. I scoured Craigslist day in and day out looking at preludes. this time I knew exactly what I wanted. 3rd gen with 4ws. I would stumble upon multiple adds... all oddly in Wisconsin... I would even look at an integra. But after multiple trips north we would find my prelude.
article written on my prelude by the PO:
Car Lust: 1988-1991 Honda Prelude 4WS
First picture of me in the car

Ba5 plate I threw on for a little while^

4ws shot

another thing I wanted was a BONE stock prelude...^

so I would drive the car and only fix things primarily under the guidance of my local prelude guru. It would be about mid summer that I would get my first set of wheels for the car and mount up BFG GFORCE tires. absolutely hated those tires...

wheels where some old enkei 15x7 high offset wheels
stuff would break and get fixed.. nothin exciting would happen until I put the car off the road because I was so busy an stuff was broken. lol. so I would end up buying new wheels and a bunch of new parts including suspension.

^ now on Tokico Blues + Eibach springs 1.5F, 1.2R
and on the same 195/55/15 BFG's but now wrapped those on a New set of Axis OG sans in a 15x7 high offset..

I would then drive the car everyday and love it more and more every time I drove it... but soon winter came and I stashed her away in my garage and began coveting and gathering parts for the spring..

^ collecting dust :\

This is where stuff would get more interesting...
bone stock bay would turn into this

^ most recent photo of the bay
and I'd get new wheels

Borbet type A 16x7.5 ET20 wrapped with Yoko S drive 205/45/16

Nice story and nice pics. I'm glad you are enjoying your lude! Personally I liked the look of the oem wheels the best, followed by the first set of aftermarket wheels you had on it.

I love the OEM wheels.. the Saw blades jus look aggressive and awesome.
that first set of wheels where crap thou. I painted them and it honestly didnt come out good lol.

I miss the OG sans. I prob would have never gotten new wheels expect the finish on them was 'graphite' white IMO looked terrible on the yellow...

the type A's were an easy choice after I saw this prelude

but to each in his own.

I'll never sell my borbets :) I'm looking for 2x 16x9... but no one in the US carries them :\
