:::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

I bought the car in may of 2012 to replace my jeep (money pit) and had all intentions of keeping it stock-ish until i found out my fiance was steppin out. kick the girl to the curve, the money starts piling up
was bone stock with the h23. well i missed vtec and my old h22 but wanted something "different"

Interior
-stock everything
-skunk2 shift knob

Exterior
-fresh paint
-oem mud flaps
-spoon style lip

Engine
-F20B (stock)
-P13 ecu (2-step altered vtec and iac engagement)
-Unknown full exhaust (manifold back)

Suspension
-eibach ground controls
-unknown struts

Future mods
-5 lug conversion
-window tint (15% all around)
-accord rear lip
-new clutch
-eventually all motor build

now time for the pics
-The day i bought it

the only camera that i have is the one on my iphone so youll have to bare with me until i can get some real shots of it once its finished, which will be very soon.

Lets fast forward a couple months to the swap pics

got the h23 out and split off the transmission and used the clutch for the f20b

The new and the old motor hangin out together before dropping in the f20b

have everything converted to obd1 and flywheel installed

Everything went in pretty easily with not to many headache througout the entire swap

this is how it currently sits (2/5/2013). got her fired up, no dummy lights or really any problems. just got to finish everything up and do my last double and triple check of everything and take her to an exhaust shop to have it worked on a little and she will be back on the road as my dd.

got to give a big thanks to steve at hmotorsonline for the motor and also a friend of mine who pretuned the ecu for me and expecially my dad for helping me with the swap and letting me use his garage for a while. hes a mustang guy, the garage is a big deal to him lol

more updates to come as i finish everything up which will be soon!!!

Nice, good to hear swaps going smoothly.

Any other plans for it? Looks to be in great shape.

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

yeah for my first swap it wasnt bad but it was my dads 1000000 swap so he kinda new what he was doin and pretty much walked me through it.

i actually just got done driving it around the block. first time in a long time!!! felt awesome too!

yeah i have a couple things im savin up for now
wheels
-rota gt3, flashbacks, or jmags
-accord rear lip and a couple other little things

im gonna go with an all motor build, reason for the f20b once i get something else to dd but that prolly wont be for a little bit so havent done much looking into it.

tomorrow should have the exhaust fix and my front lip put on and have her all cleaned up so there will be a picture frenzy soon!

even though i didnt ask a bunch of questions on here this site helped a **** ton. just had to use the search bar and pretty much found what i was looking for.

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

finally ran into some problems. i noticed that tps on my h23 throttle body was broken so i swapped it out with the one on the f20b. since then i now have a cel light and it falls on its face at 3k. i havent checked the cel light yet but im pretty sure it has something to do with the tps. just wandering if any one as any input on what they could think it is. also the throttle body from the f20b didnt have the map sensor on it. is that something i should have blocked off since its just sucking air into the intake? again, any advice is appreciated!

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

GUESS WHOS FIXED!!

ended up being my tps. when i took it off to take a look a crumbled up spring and a bit of plastic came falling out. went ahead about bought a new one got it on and adjusted and shes running great!

i took it out for a little drive around my dads house and didnt take long for the cops to notice me . had a cop follow me home from the gas station because of how loud my exhaust was. good thing im droppin it off tomorrow for exhaust. i cant wait for this to be my dd again!!

heres a couple crappy iphone pics of the front lip on but hey there still pic!

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

got around to replacing my drivers side axle and carrier bearing this saturday. after i took off the axle i broke open the boots to see how everything looked inside. well it wasnt long until i found one major problem

its pretty self explanitory there!!

my carrier bearing was just as wasted but didnt end up getting any pics of it.

heres the half shaft with the new bearing in it. no play or movement now that its replaced!

she now drives wonderfully, no more vibrations, wobbles or any head aches now.

next on my to do list is get her fully tuned now.

if any one resides around the midwest and has heard of lowe performance in alton ill. i highly recommend them. ive been in contact with john, the tuner since i started my build and have received some pretty good info from him and well ive seen his work. hes for sure one of the better tuners around the midwest IMO!

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

look whos still kickin it, well barely. i know its beeeeeeeen a long long time but i guess ill let you all know whats been going on. after being in an accident and breaking my back, putting my neck through more then any ones neck should go through and dislocating my hip a couple months back and being "bed rested" for a couple months, i couldnt wait to get back into my car. but unfortunately it only took me about a week before i was shoved back to my bed for a while. maybe a week after being cleared to start working, walking, or doing anything physical besides therapy and rehab an 18 wheeler decided he wanted my lane one morning.

now when every one thinks 18 wheeler and accident, nothing good comes to mind right? Well, just remember we drive preludes, not your average car i would say

its really not all that bad at all actually.

after having her towed back home and shoved in the garage, and having just about my entire family over to make sure i stayed in bed and away from my car, i still got to work on her. im going to admit i didnt have to even pick up a wrench though. i had some friends come over and next thing i know there backing it out of my garage and taking off with her the next day. now i just have to worry about the cosmetics thats shown above but shes mobile again, really no complaints at all. im still alive and kickin it but being thrown around on the highway and staring down headlights arent fun, at all.

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

Sucks you got crashed and are still all stoved up.
Your car rules. I'm not a fan of the 4th gen, but your car could change my mind.

It sounds like your heart is still in it. Yay!!!!
Your friends sound like true friends, while your family sounds truely honorable.
Hopefully your body will allow you to follow your heart real soon!!!

Get well soon brutha-man.

Re: :::Tkarner03::: 94 SI

yeah its hard to walk away from these. i actually got her in the garage last night after all the festivities settled down. ive managed to salvage the front bumper and im pretty sure ill be able to get the hood lined back up and flattened back out as well as the fender. the headlights are a different story. so as of last night her face is no longer droooopy. you cant really tell but where the hood and fender meet above the headlight has been bent in. as of now thats the only other damage really.
