:::Blamo::: 94 Si

My name is Alex. I love Honda's, all kinds! I have owned 2 Preludes and 1 CB7 Accord (My wifes car). I've owned my 94 since early 2004 and It was my 1st 5-speed/Honda. My 94's H23a1 started knocking so I decided to park it and build a H22. I bought my brothers 92 H22A + M2B4 and drove it for nearly 2 years before selling it to a friend. I am getting close to being done with my build and putting the motor back in, it's been about 3 years and I am ready to drive my car again!

On to pics

Re: :::Blamo::: 94 Si

Thanks! I am having my engine harness redone right now. I was missing one so I bought a H22 harness that was all deloomed and tangled up thinking I could get it figured out. It was way over my head to be honest, so I sent it to someone that knows what he's doing lol.
I will be using this loom + heatshrinking the ends with the harness: WireCare.com :: Your Cable Management SuperStore!

I am cleaning up the Subframe since it has some overspray on it. I will probably repaint it black just cause it's easy to do now.

Once I get my few bolts and sensors in from Honda and get my harness back, it should be ready to put the motor in. I think I am going to try to order a SMSP header next month if I can afford it and use it instead of the Bisi header. So the Bisimoto header will be for sale.

After that the only thing left for me to do is order the fuel lines/fittings, make my Raychem ground kit, relocate battery and run wires, install fuel pump, install s2k clutch MC, finish my sanding/baffling/painting on valve cover...I think thats about it. I'm also having a breather tank built to fit behind the P/S shock tower. It's being built with a slanted bottom so I can fit it completely behind it, hopefully it works out. I have 2 breather filters to have fitted on top of it.

I'll be sure to take pictures everytime I do something so I keep this alive. I can't wait until its all done and I can finally take my car out for some new pictures, I've been showing the same pictures of my car for years!!

LOL I was wondering if anyone would notice that. That's my JDM sadface. And yes, it was late, and a stupid mistake! I then seized the opportunity to make a face, but decided he should be sad since he is having a bar going through his eye. I thought I would just change the side panel one day but I think I'll just leave it, it adds character.

Just ordered 4 -10 weld on fittings. This breather tank will be boss. Just need to find some aluminum pipe to cut and weld on top of the tank for the 2 filters to slip onto.

Yeah I'd all be for that except for the 725 mile difference!

I really hope everything comes together and gets finished soon. I have been saying another couple of months for the past 2 years it feels like lol.

Well I painted my subframe today since it had some overspray on it. Back to gloss black now!

I got some things in from Honda the other day. ECT sensor, Thermostat sensor, 5th gen water neck, some tranny bolts, a new dipstick tube and dipstick.

Re: :::Blamo::: 94 Si

SO almost got the breather tank built last night. It won't take much more to finish it up. My fab guy does amazing work, I wouldn't even be able to begin to build this, lol. Here is a bunch of random pictures during the process. These were all taken from the phone so quality isn't best.

Cutting the sheets

Putting a angle on a sheet

Finishing the angle

Starting to size it up

Cutting, this thing was called the Piranha. It just chomps down on pieces and breaks them off, it's awesome

Tacking it together

All tacked together

Here is it welded together. We came back to test fit it tacked together and it didn't fit on one section because of the way the firewall was shaped. We cut that out at my house and went back to the shop to weld it all together. After we drill the holes for the fittings and filters and clean everything out inside, he will weld in a 90 degree piece to fill that hole and finish that one corner to seal it up!

How it should sit!

And yes, that is a Golden Corral sign in the background.

Re: :::Blamo::: 94 Si

Trying to decide where the fittings should go exactly on the tank. I know I'm going to have 2 90 degree fittings off my valve cover....should the fittings be 2 horizontaly next to each other or vertically 1 underneath the other? Trying to think where my TypeS intake will be sitting really, I guess that would be the only thing kind of in the way. I would like to use straight hose end fittings going into the tank. What do you guys think?

Also, I got my S2k clutch master cylinder mounted up the other day. I'll post pictures later of the change over and what exactly was involved.

Re: :::Blamo::: 94 Si

So here is my S2k Clutch Master Cylinder change over.

Old and New

Removed the snap rings on both to remove the rod. The old snap ring was seized and took some PBlaster and hitting to free up

I spent some time with a wire brush and PB & Carb cleaner and cleaned the old rod & dust boot up. I used the new S2k head/nut/snap ring on the old rod. Looks almost new again!

I had to move the nut all the way back for it to fit correctly installed on the pedal. In this picture it actually isn't all the way back, I had to take it back out and readjust it back more. I lubed everything up with white lithium grease

This changeover required me to take the spring off the clutch pedal, it was impossible to put that pin through the pedal with the spring still attached. I went ahead and cleaned the spring up from rust to metal again, and lubed it up. Didn't take pictures of this.

Installed!

And for the spacer, I used the Checkered Motorsports spacer with the new gasket. You can probably find a cheaper one or make your own fine, I just chose to go the most expensive route lol.

I also got my harness back from acidcrakker! It looks great!

Re: :::Blamo::: 94 Si

Let me start off by showing you a picture of Trooper, dressed up in a Giraffe costume, "freezeing" to a finger gun

Took my headlights apart to paint the high beam reflectors and clean them up!

The paint I used was, Krylon Yellow Stained Glass Paint.

Here they are before. No, they are not dirty, they are really just that hazed over!

Got the lenses off and removed the 2 high beam reflectors

All taped up and ready to paint!

Here is how they are looking now

I have ordered some headlight seal rubber glue from hidplanet.com. Now I just have to get all this old stuff off, they didn't come apart good enough for a good seal back together without redoing it.

The trick with this paint, is to only use 1 coat. If you start layering coats, it will start looking really flat instead of glossy. It took me a couple of tries, I kept wiping it off and redoing it because it would not spread evenly on the lens when painting! It would start running a bit and showing silver back through. I finally got fed up with it and said screw it for the night, and left a coat on there. The next morning, they looked completely different and pretty good lol. So the moral of the story is, use just enough to cover the lens in 1 coat, but not so much that it is puddling up. Then, no matter how it looks, leave it alone for a few hours and then check it out.
